         <description><![CDATA[<div>I've always known that systems affect change within schools, but have never seen The Systematic Change Framework or Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Approach. In regard to transition programs, they are directly connected to federal policy at the top all the way down to school policies created based on state/federal laws. In order&nbsp; for transition programs to even exist, it took changes at the federal level. These systems affect my practice because it's important for me to understand how systems affect transition in order to be successful in improving my own program at Middleboro High School. I need to stay current on federal and state policy along with keeping my district informed.&nbsp; I need to realize the importance of culture and families when working with students and planning for transition. I need to keep the student at the center of the planning and make sure they are connected with services at the state and local level. I am influenced by federal, state and my district's policies, but also have my own transition vision.<br><br></div>]]></description>
