The goal of the people who helped change the 4th street place in Santa Ana was to make it to a more sociable acceptable place, where people are able to walk anywhere and make it more lively with a good amount of varieties. By giving the "power of the people" were they able to make Santa Ana a place that is now one of the five "Great Neighborhoods" in the western US. With that tittle on Santa Ana, the sale tax revenue from products to professional services has been on the rise.

Santa Ana has been ranked in one of the five best neighborhoods in America. It is so popular due to its walkability of its downtown and the great food. Councilwoman Michele Martinez says that Santa Ana began changing four years ago when affordable housing entered the Lacy neighborhood. Sales tax revenue has been going up annually ad reached 1.1 million in 2015.
Property values have gone up and some think it is not the best direction to move in. At least 30 businesses have been displaced most of them Latino. Gaby Hernandez argues that the association is developing the community without the community itself. While some see the progress a portion of Santa Ana is going through its hard for those being forced out of their own community to see it as progress.

Would it be possible for those on opposing sides to compromise? Is there a middle ground between where both sides can agree on what makes Santa Ana a "great neighborhood?"

Yes by helping the residents with income or help aid the local business's financially. Renovations are only needed to make improvements but that is why the city should help the businesses instead of removing them. Keeping the culture and expanding fits both sides.
