What do I do if I'm near a volcano and it erupts? Where do I go for cover?

Just referring to Bec's post, what would happen after the volcano erupted, like would the earth burn and the lava just disappear? Or what? Also, would you be able to go and walk on the land again?

As soon as you find out that a volcano has erupted, leave the area immediately, and go away from the lava flow.

Hey Liz thanks for the post.

After the eruption all of the lava with turns into hard rock. So the earth won't burn and you can go back and walk on the land again.
