I used to think that people that has disabilities were only not as smart because they have different mindsets, but now I think kids that do not have problems have a different mindset than autistic children (most of the time). The reason why I think this is because I have an autistic brother that is 17 years old who lives with me still to this day. I can relate to many things about autistic children, they do lots of random stuff you would not expect a normal child would do. Sometimes out in public my brother would be a nice guy, he would say hello or hi to most people out on the streets. Finally, autistic people are mostly very smart and take pride in academic abilities, but some of them cannot have the knowledge most people do.

I used to think people with disabilities couldn't do as much things as non disabled kids can do. But now I think that disabled kids are capable of anything a non disabled person can do. I read a book (Out Of My Mind) that was about a girl who couldn't walk, talk, or express her feelings. what the people didn't know around her was that she was the smartest kid in her school. She eventually found a tool to help her talk and she surprised everyone with her amazing knowledge. This book showed me that no matter what happens to your or how you are born anything is possible and we are all different in our own ways.

I used to think kids with disabilities were weird or annoying when i was younger but know that i am in highschool i know learned more about them. I learned that they are not weird or annoying they are nice and quiet. I think they don't get the recognition they deserve. I know what to say to them and what not to say near them. I have a lot of kids that have autism or they are disabled and they are so nice. I have respect for them if they have respect for me. But know i think they are very caring and forgiving.

I think that many people dont understand people with disablities. People think they are incapable of doing things that people without disablities can do. And that is incorrect because many people with autism and other disabilities have great talents. I learned they see the world from a different perspective and feel emotions differently. I used to think they were different but now I learned they are different in their own unique way and now I understand a lot more about how their normal life is from watching these videos.
