It can be modified in many aways based on the teacher and/or classes preference. The most common way I have seen it played is one person starts with a ball of yarn and shares their name and either a word to describe them or a word that starts with the first letter of their name. Once they have shared this information they hold onto a piece of the string and toss the ball to whoever has not gone yet.  Based on the age of the group after everyone has gone you can start again but have the person with the ball have to say the name and adjective of the person they are tossing to.

This one, from The Inspired Tree-house, can really help children increase their control over their own motor skills, and help them learn about animals all over the world. It involves placing strips of tape at different intervals, depending on the animal, and asking your students what they thing that animal would jump like as they move from tape piece to tape piece.
