All the problems in our school seem to build up and whenever I attempt to propose a solution it is always shot down. I will try to focus on myself and my abilities as a teacher first.

I think that it's very important to keep a growth mindset in mind, especially on the most frustrating days. There are days when it is very difficult to keep in mind that I can persevere through my own frustrations, and that just reflects onto my students. This just encourages them to have a fixed mindset as well. So, I think that one way that I can challenge myself in the classroom is to turn around my own fixed thoughts when the come up to be more "fixed" thoughts, so that my students don't see that. Also, I think that I could work harder at encouraging the students to believe in themselves. It is sometimes easy to get lost in the craziness of the day and forget to check in with all of the students and see how they are feeling. It's our job to check in and make sure they feel supportive, and that's something I could work on with all of my kids throughout each period every day.
