Outline of The Pharaoh and their reign

Ramesses II reigned as Pharoh of Egypt from 1279 - 1213 BCE. He was the son of the Pharoh Sehthi I and Queen Tuya. He was born in 1303 BCE with his 3 three siblings, Tia, Henutmire, and Nebchasetnebet. Ramesses II, also known as Ramesses The Great, was the third Pharoh of the 19th Dynasty and was a very successful Pharoh. He had over 200 wives with 96 sons and 60 daughters. Ramesses died at the age of 90-96 in 1213 BCE

Ramesses II had strong beliefs much like other Pharohs, an active worshipper of Amun-Ra, which led him to be successful and well-praised by his people. Ramesses II built many temples dedicated to multiple gods and goddesses. Ramesses II left a significant impact on the Egyptian religious practices during his reign and had a very close connection to the Gods.

Ramesses II had a power authority which made him highly respected. He led his government and economy which ended up being very successful. Ramesses was the second reign recorded being 66 years which makes him a very significant Pharoh. Overall, Ramesses II is known for being one of the most successful Pharohs to exist having built many monumental constuctions and being a good leader.

Ramesses II was a great leader of his army in many wars. Ramesses' most famous war is the battle of Kadesh when Ramesses II and his army fought against the Hittite Empire over Kadesh, a city in Syria. This is most famously known because of it being the earliest seen peace treaty.
