This book is about a young girl named Malala Yousafzai and her life growing up in the Swat Valley in Pakistan. Malala enjoyed being able to have an education and wanted to keep her right for an education. When the Taliban came to Swat and started changing things, including education, she stood up against them for girl's education.

I recommend I Am Malala because it is a great story on how Malala stood up for what she believed in. The way that she stood up for girl's education is very inspiring for any and all girls.

She is showing people that they should not be shy about what they believe. She shows that if someone wants to make a change in the world, they first have to speak out about it. The ending also wraps everything up by mentioning that bad things are still happening to schools, but more people are putting a say in it.
