The Cure- Friday im in love (lyrics)- for teching days of the week

-a bamboo stick (alternatively: broom stick, elastic or rope);
-flashcards (animals, colours, rooms of the house, clothes, weather, etc.);
- music (optional):  Limbo rock.
Procedure:

1. Have 2 children standing holding the bamboo stick at either end.
 2. Have the rest of the group in a line standing in front of the bamboo stick.
 3. Hold up a flashcard; if the first child in line guesses the correct vocabulary/phrase they can limbo dance under the stick (bending backwards, bending knees and without touching the bamboo stick with their bodies).
 4. If they can’t name the flashcard, they must exchange places with one of the children holding the limbo stick who, in turn, joins the rest of the group in line. This way children are “out” only temporarily.
 5. Continue holding up flashcards for the group to guess correctly.
 6. Every so often lower the limbo stick. Children love the challenge and the  fun factor

Divide the board into two halves, and divide the class into two teams. Call out a theme or category for learned vocabulary words and have students run to the board and write as many related words as possible.

For example, you might call out something like, “Animals you will see at the zoo!” and one student from each team must run up to the board and write as many English zoo animal names as they can think of within a certain time limit. This game gets students thinking quickly and creatively.

Take one student out of the room and give them a phrase to repeat. That student then enters the room and whispers the message to the next person. This continues until everyone has heard the message.
