I still remember my first cassette tape I ever bought with my own money. While cassettes, are no longer easy to find I still have a few. I still love buying CD's, I never know when my itunes won't cooperate. Until CDs are no longer made, I will keep buying them. I have quite the collection. I do use digital music as well as I love Pandora and youtube. Now we have touch screen smart phones that are like mini computers. I use my phone for just about everything. It is my alarm clock, my calculator, timer, and my GPS (when I need it). It is also how I most often listen to music, check my email and facebook, and track my exercise. You had to crank the machine by hand and you made one copy at a time. When I think of how much technology has changed just in the field of teaching, I am amazed.
