These three areas are common concerns within the English classroom. In terms of grammar usage, I have noticed that the students do not struggle as much as I have seen from other students their age. The students at NCHS are lucky to have a great Google Grammar program run by one of the English teachers. This program is done completely outside of the classroom, bu Tyler makes a point to let the students know that if they are struggling with a specific topic, he is more than happy to help them pinpoint the confusion and help them retain the information covered.
During my interview with Tyler, he spoke about students' fear of writing and how he addresses it through a variety of topics to write about; our hope is that each student will find a topic that they are passionate about and will become more comfortable with the writing process. 

 Each of these courses has a very different atmosphere, and Tyler's approach to teaching changes based on the content and class personality. Although the expectations for the students depends on what class Tyler has them in, his goal remains the same across the board: "[it's my job] to listen and tell them what they have to say is important". 
When it comes to classroom management, Tyler seems to be very good at reading the class and being able to predict how students will respond to the various activities he has planned. Nevertheless, Tyler likes to switch up his teaching style so that the students get a variation; he makes a point to ensure that there are multiple activities in a 50 minute period (large/small group discussion, partner work, individual work, etc.) but makes sure that cooperation and communication is the main priority in every class. The way he sees it, it is part of his job to facilitate an environment that encourages students to learn how to respectfully interact with people who have different views.
