Theme 3 told me how to identify the meaning of Instruction word in assignment and the steps I should take to start assignment. Assignment calculator taught me how to manage the time and sequence of writing assignment, when to check reference and when to start summarizing, adjust work and rest time, and maximize the efficiency of writing assignment.

REFLECTION
I learned how to find the reference I want. Google scholar and Uclan library are good sources of information. First of all, I have to determine the scope of the reference I want. For example, I want references on purchasing power parity theory. I can directly enter purchasing power parity on Google scholar, then select books and articles that I think are related to my assignment content, and then select some helpful research and conclusions from the articles.The second lesson learned the difference between long references and short references. The long references are preferably in Harvard version, which can be copied directly from the Harvard option on Cite them right on Google scholar and pasted to the end of the article. However, short references are different. They need to appear after the sentence or conclusion and be marked with the author and date. I have learned about plagiarism and how to avoid it，In order to avoid plagiarism and be able to reference sources correctly, I need to sum up and paraphrase the words and ideas of others, to put the central idea of these articles in my own words. And change the grammar of the text.Present the main ideas in a different order to fit my purpose . i can paraphrase from different parts of the original text  to synthesise information.

REFLECTION
I think I am better at being a data collector in a small group. Good articles are very important in presentations and also determine how to show them to everyone. I like speakers who can express the central idea of articles well. They can help me to learn the skills of speech. Their body language and speech speed are all I need to study hard. I saw some bad examples of speeches in class, such as not looking at the audience, or speaking too fast, not fluent, etc. These examples helped me to overcome these bad habits. I will try my best to recite the article and speak it fluently in the following speeches. I also need to try my best to make body language and eye contact on the stage.

To become a critical thinker, we need to be able to listen to others’ ideas, arguments and criticisms without thinking of our response or reaction while they are speaking. we can’t properly absorb the information someone is trying to convey to us if we don’t take the time to truly listen.Analyzing information is paramount for critical thinking. No one thinks critically at all times. Sometimes our joy, anger, sadness or other emotions are too great, and other times we struggle to focus on the central issue at hand. To reach success, we need to   analyze the information before us, whether it is information in our mind or being shared by others. We can break it down by assessing what is being said, and ensuring that we clearly understand what it is that needs to happen. I think I am still at the stage of understanding, and I am good at discussing and comparing. In the previous presentation, I also prefer to discuss with other team members, then compare the advantages and disadvantages of each article, and then add my own ideas.

Identify the most important facts surrounding the case. Read the case several times to become familiar with the information it contains. Pay attention to the information in any accompanying exhibits, tables, or figures. Many case scenarios, as in real life, present a great deal of detailed information. Some of these facts are more relevant than others for problem identification. One can assume the facts and figures in the case are true, but statements, judgments, or decisions made by individuals should be questioned. Underline and then list the most important facts and figures that would help you define the central problem or issue.The most difficult thing for me is to list the courses of action and then select or modify them.

Firstly, select your assignment topic.If your topic has many different features, then a very effective assignment writing techniques is to note it down to a specific area, and don’t forget to explain it in the introduction. Thus, this will turn assignment easier to read and understand than if you try to cover everything separately.  In case, If you are going to select your own topic, make sure it is something you find  interesting. Hence, In this way your search will become easier and your enthusiasm will be simply passed on to your readers. Do your research attentively. It is very essential to make sure to spend sufficient time looking into all sides of your assignment topic carefully. Try to explore as much relevant material as possible along with noting it down in the way you are comfortable. From the feedback of my assignment，the tutor told me do not write too much useless information, such as too much words for the definition of the theories.And he think my references are not enough, i need do more searches and read more articles.
