Students often complete a mood meter for their check-in. They get to relax and chat with each other to begin the day. At the beginning of the year, we had zoom chat conversation starters until they all got to know each other. We also did a lot of Flipgrids and used other interactive platforms to connect and share about ourselves. Games have been huge for bonding during hybrid. They love any game that is "roomies versus zoomies." It encourages them to collaborate with each other no matter where they are learning at.
