‘Mount Fuji’ , this the masterpiece of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusia .
1. the main body of the painting is the mountain in the right part . it used a large area of red, and in the left part, there is arranged with many small shapes, and the bottom is most detailed

2. it use the Mount Fuji as the foreground and clouds as background , and the mountain is the most colorful , so it's main focus of the painting. and as we can see, it used both negative and positive: the clouds are negative, they are shaped by the dark blue sky; the trees on Mount Fuji are positive shape

The edges are so sharp, and very strong.Theme: what does the artist call it? How does the title change the way you see it?-it’s called押送波头通船之图, which means a boat that is escorting something drives on the waves. If without the title, I may only consider the picture is only about views and brave people. But the title told me that the painting is reflecting on some history and society situation in Japan . it showed a job for people of that time.Form: What colors does the artist use and why do you think this is? How are organized?-in the foreground, the artist applied blue and white for the waves as it’s a main element of the work. And applied red for the boats , which are the main point of the work. And in background far away, the artist left a big space without color , only a few shapes of mountains and birds.in general, they are organized based upon the importance of the parts in the whole work.Context: where it was made, what does it tell us about this? -it was made in Japan during the later period of the shogun era. It tell us the basic style of the painting which is called : Ukiyoe. And this kind of style mainly comes from the public and reflects on daily life.
