Today is my first day doing SIEP at brick and family restaurant, (Bricks Family Restaurant) Legoland Malaysia Resort. I start working 8am which is morning shift. At this restaurant, there are 5 sections for dining. During breakfast, guest who dining can reach till 900 pax per day. For my first assignment, I was assigned to work at section A and C.

Today, I was assigned to do the same task as yesterday which clearing, wiping and do table setting as well. When the restaurant so busy, the manager of this restaurant keep reminding us to communicate to each other and work as a team. Each of us has our own duty which one do clearing, one do wiping and another one do table setting.

Today, I had learnt to made a table setting for lunch. I need to put paper place mate at each side. Put some cutlery, serviette and goblet on right side. On the left side I need to put BB plat as well. I also learnt to put table number for section A, B and C for lunch and dinner.

Today, I works in morning shift. My name on board at section B. Do clearing all the plates, wipe the tables and setting the cutlery for new guest come. In the evening, I do something new which is set the food tag for the dinner buffet. I have to ask the menu list from the chef and then do the food tag at every dish.

For today, I learnt to made table setting for dinner. Firstly, I had to put a table paper cloth on each table. The table cloth is white color and have some cute painting. Like usual, put a serviette, some cutlery (table fork, table spoon and table knife) and goblet on right side of the table. And also we need to put some crayon on the table. The crayon function for the kids to coloring while having their dinner. To create the memorable experience toward guest.

Today, my task for morning shift is pass around. Pass around task is to push the beverage trolley that have the Tarik and some food that made by the chef for the guest and also have several cups of juices for the kids. I need to promote to the guest about this special menu especially the teh Tarik for them to try it out.

My task for today is to wipe the goblet for lunch and dinner. I have to ask steward to wash the goblet then I have to wipe the goblet. The purpose to wipe the goblet is to make sure that the goblet clean from any fingerprint and also watermark.

Like usually when morning shift. I did clearing the table , wipe and setting again for the next guest. I also did table setting lunch for today. today, I also did learnt something new which I help some of my friend to made several place to put salt and pepper which salt and pepper stand as a table centerpiece by lego bricks itself.

Today I did learnt something new again. Which I had to set up for dinner buffet. As I know this task known as buffetier.  Firstly, I do wipe the utensils  before set up for dinner buffet. Start to put the utensils at soup, local food, western food, dessert and carving, next sate, BBQ, noodle and pasta last but not least for ice cream and ABC. All serving utensils should be placed near the dish. Do put tongs for things like ribs, fried chicken, and for long pasta such as spaghetti or fettucine. Ladles are used for soup and stew.

Today is my last day works here. For today I used to work at evening shift. I did turnover for dinner set up. And at 3pm, my supervisor bring 4 of part timer members including me go to the legoland theme park. Thank you legoland members for giving me an opportunity to work here.  I do learn more when I am here. Something that I did not get at any place such as good manager, supervisors, team leader, f&b assistant and part timers friends as well because they had teach me and guide me in everything so well. I also know how to make turnover for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Have skill to wipe the cutlery, goblet and plate so fast and have good moment here.
