The programs that I am familiar includes IGCSE, SPM, STPM, CAIE and Edexcel A levels, AUSMAT, MUFY, SAM and IB Diploma. 

As a teacher, I strongly believe that students should not be bombarded with loads of content knowledge but rather schools should equip students with real-life skills that enable them to address future unknown challenges. I strongly advocate for a curriculum and/or pedagogy that allow high student agency in the teaching and learning environment. 

Being a teacher-leader, I believe in enabling my teachers to do well in their responsibilities instead of performing/managing their responsibilities on their behalf. I strongly believe in the statement - People do not care what you know unless they know that you cared! I advocate professional development and supports my teachers in equipping themselves so that they become a reflective educator within their milieu. 

In this 21st century, teachers and students alike needs to be prepared in facing evolving challenges and unceasing changes! I see it as my responsibility to inculcate a positive classroom environment and collaborative working environment in meeting these challenges!

I developed good relationship with allocated "subordinates" through being a guide by the side, instead of being a sage on the stage. I supported their pedagogy, lesson planning, evaluated them for improvement purposes and help them plan ahead in their development as a teacher.

Apart from that, I had the opportunity to co-lead in preparation for the 5 years of IB evaluation for my school. It was a great opportunity for me to review and reflect on the strength and the weaknesses or limitations of my team as well as my own teaching and learning as an IB educator. I initiated the reflection with my team of teachers using SWOT analysis and develop strategies to improve and support our teaching, i.e. in particular to incorporate ATL skills within our lessons.
