Physical Therapy

I had to do physical therapy for over a year when I got my leg surgery back in October of 2020. This was extremely hard for me as i had to completely rebuild all the muscles in my leg and all this was accompanied by searing pain. This experience really taught me to keep going because if I didn't, I wouldn't be walking today.

Coming Out

Back in the summer before 8th grade, I was on vacation with a lot of my family. I had always been thinking of a way to tell them I was gay, but I was too nervous to say anything. I knew deep down they would accept me, but I still had my doubts about it and the fear that followed it. This really showed me that I need to be brave about things that matter to me and I should face my problem head-on.

Moving a lot in my Life

Throughout my entire life I have moved houses a lot. This was due to many reasons, but either way I would always be sad. Moving was never easy because since I have such a big family, we have a lot of stuff. We also have a lot of pets so making that change was never easy either. I sort of became desensitized to this and started to not really care, just letting it be. This really taught me to value what I have in the moment and appreciate what I currently have.

Covid Year/Freshman Year

Back when I first started high school and in eighth grade, my grades were horrible. I was getting C and D averages and was in a horrible pit of depression. I felt hopeless about most work and wouldn't even try in class. I changed everything around in sophomore year, getting A and B averages. This really showed me that I have the potential to be great, I just have to put in effort.
