         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Video 1 :<br>One of the practices we should keep implementing is mindfulness and its impact on emotions ,where we should have a positive emotional environment in the classroom and whole school community.<br><br>- Video 2 :<br>Instead of letting our feeling brain take over and control our actions and behavior, we should let the thinking brain take over ,regulate and control our emotions&nbsp; in order to make the right decisions in different situations.<br>-Article:<br>-We rely on connections with other people to determine our moods.( Open-loop limbic system)<br>-Connections and relationships affect our physical health.<br>-Non verbal expressiveness can also affect other people.<br><br>As a team of teachers we should focus first on our well-being and positive mindset in order to reflect it on our students.<br>Emotions and moods are contagious ,so its very important to focus on who to surround ourselves with( Marigold and oak tree effect)<br>&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What can teachers say and do to address the impact of emotions on the brain?<br></strong><br>First,&nbsp; we introduce and label different emotions to students to help them recognize the difference. Second, we introduce the 3 parts of the brain and their functions in a simple form using different strategies, such as, hand model of the brain, calming jar and introducing them to different mindfulness tools depending what works for them (Breathing, drawing, counting, Reading, etc.)<br><br><strong>What are some common practices that should and could change to better support students holistic development? what needs to change and how?</strong>&nbsp;<br><br>To ensure the holistic development of students as a whole, the school's curriculum should integrate activities to support (non academic) different activities and learning experiences that compliment what students are learning in school.<br><br>We have to work on it as a school "vertically" from the early years up to senior years with more depth through their learning journey.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What can teachers say and do to address the impact of emotions on the brain?<br>What are some common practices that should and could change to better support students holistic development? what needs to change and how?</strong> <strong><br><br>firstly, we as teachers need to help&nbsp; the students feel safe, the environment is comfortable and has positive messages, then to start with a positive action such as a smile on the face, and a friendly icebreaker activity.&nbsp;<br>To appreciate the students' efforts even if the effort was not correct, yet they need to be given a constructive feedback in order to learn that mistakes can be corrected and accepted.<br>some practices can affect the learning positively such as following the inquiry cycle, rewarding the students can leave good impacts, giving the students responsibilities, Peer&nbsp;checking and group work.</strong></div>]]></description>
