         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some students were able to research information for their IA's  using science articles.  Others not so much.  Students who took the time to research relevant science articles were able to complete their introduction and begin the design portion of their IA.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students are reading the novel Shadowshaper.  I created a Reading Schedule along with dates for reading quizzes.  The schedule is a form of self management so that students are (hopefully) not rushing to get to a certain point of the book before a quiz.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I can't remember the exact terms (and I can't find the document we were reading last month!) but I had my students work on communicating with each other through formal and informal discussions.  The more informal discussion was a Jamboard Four Corners activity I created where they just explained their opinions on an overall statement as a preview to our upcoming reading.  More formally, they had Book Club Discussions where they had to come prepared with answers, and one original question to ask each other.  They did really well with these discussions and made a lot of real-world connections to an online scavenger hunt they had completed, as well, so that was great to see them transferring ideas from and making connections to previous assignments and content to their discussions.</div>]]></description>
