Plants are essential to the society and the environment. One important aspect of plants is photosynthesis! Plants help the environment by taking in carbon dioxide and by releasing oxygen needed by us humans. I chose this picture because sunflowers are my favorite kind of flowering plant, and they undergo photosynthesis like most plants do.

This angiosperm is commonly known as the hairy rattleweed. Its scientific name is Baptisia arachnifera. I chose this plant because according to the University of Georgia, this flowing plant is "federally listed as an endangered species"( Coder 1). Also, I learned that this plant "is found in only two counties in Georgia" (Coder 1).

The picture shown below is from the Antarctic. This is considered to be a cold desert biome. I chose this biome because I believe it is in most danger. Due to climate change on earth, most of it's glaciers are melting off, and the temperatures are slowly rising. The animals in this environment are having a hard time adapting to these changes, and as glaciers keep melting, sea levels keep rising.

The Neolithic Revolution era was very important and had many negative and positive impacts. One positive impact was the expansion of agriculture. The map diagram below depicts the growth of crops and their expansion. This expansion allowed everyone to share ideas in agriculture. Also, domesticating plants allowed the decrease of migration and an increase in population. Therefore, more food allowed them to increase their population to feed that bigger population.

I chose this image because it shows the use of fertilization being used on the crops. Fertilization was used massively in the third Agricultural Revolution.
