Personal responsibility is an achievement that is for any person and every person. To achieve personal responsibility it isn't a topic that someone is forcing upon you, you must take it to ever achieve it. Conducting yourself responsibly is one of the greatest skills in life, it can make or break a multi-billion dollar deal, split you from your family and pull you from "the norm." Accepting you actions are only a small part of how anyone strives personal responsibility. Perhaps you don't have to perfect track record or you are not the most qualified, you are going to take responsibility for what effort you have put into what ever you are trying to do. Taking responsibility can be as simple as bringing your supplies to class and striving to do well in each class. Those of us who stride for these things and conduct ourselfs in a responsible way can achieve much more then those of us who sit in the back of the class and snickers and the teachers one mistake.

Personal responsibility is taking responsibility for yourself and your actions. An example of personal responsibility would be to admit that you broke the vase for example rather than dodging responsibility and blaming someone else. Another example of personal responsibility would be to take responsibility for what you write on this padlet by putting your name in the title as you knew was expected. Finally, one more in-class example would be taking personal responsibility for taking good notes and doing your work rather than cheating off someone else. In short, personal responsibility is just taking responsibility for yourself. After all, you are the one in charge of your own life. One might say that it is your personal responsibility to take responsibility for yourself and your actions.

You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of. Personal responsibility is not only recognizing the errors of our ways. Personal responsibility lies in our willingness and ability to correct those errors individually and collectively.
