In the early 1800s the land grabs threatened tribes throughout the South and Southeast. The government took just about everything they had because they told the natives to get moving so they had no time to grab anything. They got kicked off because there was gold on there land that the government wanted.

The natural rights in the declaration of independence connects with the Address to the Virginia court, john brown of 1859 because they talk about slavery by not staying it but showing it and that compares to when john brown says slaves should not rebels and run away from there slave owners because they owned them.

In Dred Scott case he moved to a non slave state and was brought back to his state because he was a slave and can not run away. This connects with john brown because he did not want slavery to turn into what Dred Scott's day to day life was. He had no chose but to try and get away but the brought him back.

Dred scott was a slavery that wanted slavery to come to a end. He never learned how to read or write just worked for the Blow family his whole life. He was born into slavery and died in slavery. If he had the 13th amendment when he was alive it would have been much easier to live and he could have had a better life.

The Civil War was fought over the issue of slavery. In fact, it was the economics of slavery and political control of that system that was central to the conflict. John Brown leads a small group on a adventure against a federal armory in Harper's Ferry, Virginia (now West Virginia), in an attempt to start an armed revolt of enslaved people to destroy the institution of slavery.
