Is there guidance for using Pol-Ed resources with mixed-age classes? Yes. While the curriculum is designed to be spiral and progressive, its structure allows it to be accessed by pupils slightly older or younger than the target year group. The Pol-Ed guidance explicitly includes EYFS lessons that align with statutory content specifically because some schools may need to use these materials with split year group classes or different cohorts. Schools are encouraged to manage the specific logistics based on their pupils' needs.

Will there be training on using the local crime "footprint" data? Yes. A major development for Pol-Ed is providing schools with tailored lesson suggestions based specifically on the top three risks of crime in their local area. This data-driven approach allows schools to create a responsive curriculum based on what is happening in their locality. Training and guidance on how to integrate this data into school planning is a core part of the programme's ongoing support for schools.

Because the programme focuses heavily on the "Relationships" and "Health" pillars of RSHE, most content is statutory. However, schools should review the mapping documents to identify any content they have categorised as "Sex Education" within their own policy to manage parental withdrawal requests effectively.
