I would like to show appreciation & say Thank You to my counselor ,Amy O & my Professor(Prof.Hardaye Hansen).

Amy is one of the most amazing counselors I’ve ever had. I am so happy that I reached out to the counseling center at BMCC. Amy has helped me so much during one of the most difficult times in my life. I’ve been working with her since April of this year. My heart is broken that after this semester I won’t be able to work with her anymore because I am graduating. I’ll always carry you in my heart Amy, you have really made an impact in my life ...Thank You. I appreciate you , I love you for helping me.

To Prof.Hansen.... You don’t know this but when I started your class this semester I was at a really bad space mentally and I felt like I wanted to die. I was going through so much and I still am but listening to you teach every Wednesday morning at 8am(so early lol) has helped me work through that depression .The way you care for your students and the love you have for what you do is admirable. Not only do you teach us the material for the class but you always teach us about self care, self love, how to be respectful. You teach us things that will help us to become better individuals.I will always remember you.

Since I entered BMCC, I felt like I was home and I will achieve all my goals as a student. I had direction, support, encouragement and love from those that I turned to for support. I even got more support than expected, my Professors were kind and ready to help and the child care center embrace me and my daughter by providing care while I attend classes. I became very ill during this fall semester and all of my professors were extremely accommodating once they were notified of my hospitalization. Moreover, my professors allowed me the time and space to heal and recovery without stress of failing. BMCC, you have no idea how much I gush about you as a school. I advertised you to friends prior pandemic, and I continue to do so mid-pandemic. This year has been unconventional to say the least but I’ve coped a great deal due to the astounding group of educators at BMCC. Since the beginning of this pandemic there has not been a single day when I have felt alone or overlooked. Whether I was voicing my concerns or simply needing assistance with a task, a staff member of BMCC was there lending a helping hand. As my departure from BMCC draws near I would like to say thank you to my advisors ALBERT, JAMIE, MUBIN, & JONATHAN. My mentors TIFFANY, JACKIE, and Azeez. I also want to say thank you to Professor JASON SCHNEIDERMAN who was my English professor at the beginning of my remote learning. He provided a safe space for his students to express themselves while keeping them engaged in the course work. I can’t express how much I appreciated this; his class honestly kept me going. Thank you all for your time and tutelage. To my amazing cohorts in Out in 2, DU3, and BLA, I wish you all the best in your future endeavor.

I am not the kind of person to open up about myself and most definitely not show my vulnerability. Speaking to you and knowing that I had a safe place to express myself, helped me overcome a lot during the past 16 months. You though me that it's ok to be vulnerable sometimes, it doesn't make less of a strong person. I will carry that alon with me where ever I go and use that to becom a better person. I can not thank you enough for being who you are.

I am thankful to all my BMCC family. To all who thank the essential staff and faculty thank you and your welcome. Me and Carletta are please that we are able to be at campus making sure everyone got their checks and stubs. It is our honor in doing so. I also wanted to say your welcome Karen T. It is my pleasure in making sure you got your pay check. It feels good when people recognize your efforts in trying to make sure others are happy. So thank you BMCC for being my second home and my biggest family and even though we don't always see eye to eye we are always there for each other. I also wanted to thank Carei Thomas for always being there and helping me choose the right classes for me and for genuinely caring that I graduated from BMCC. God bless everyone and I hope that everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving.
