Telling one specific student how much I appreciated him coming into class and getting started right away on his "Do Now" activity has definitely made it easier more days than not for me to get him focused on the tasks at hand.

I tell the kids every day that I am glad they are here and that seeing them makes my day.

I tell the student that I am here for them if they need to talk or if they need help with any subject they are having trouble with.

Yes it has. This has given me a different perspective on things and on how to go about making my students feel better. I let my students know that I am here for them daily and they can always feel comfortable enough to talk to me.

Yes this has changed my mindset so much. I went out and purchased some positive things to put on my board about adjusting our mindset.

Yes, I have changed my mindset and the way I speak in so many way. I am more cautious of the things I say and the way that things are said. I try to be more positive with my students because many of them are so negative and they do not receive positive words/acts of kindness at home.

I allow students to express themselves more and add positive feedback. Remind students to give positive feedback to their peers.
