Have you ever watched Pokemon or played Pokemon Go?

After watching this video, I realise some Pokemon are actually very similar to some real animals. But it is sad that they are endangered because of hunting and habitat loss. The next generation will have no chance to meet them unless we conserve these animals. To save the endangered animals, I think we can start from learning more about the endangered species around Asia and teach our friends and family to protect these animals. Also, people should stop hunting the endangered species for food and fur.

Will you protect the endangered species?

Essentially, the world food problem is that the world cannot effectively supply both the food that some people need while providing the food others want. Naturally, the "want" foods, such as pretzels and steaks, are more profitable .otably India and China (who claim more than a third of the world population together), who, as they become richer, also want those more palatable but less efficient foods, again, particularly meats. These things are what i want to

They wanted to get some free porridge to eat .but there was only one barrel of porridge and there wasn't any seasoning ,vegetable or meat .it was only a barrel of white porridge! But many people still rush to get it.

I think this photo was fully displayed the serious food problem in LDC countries(this photo was taken in India) food in those countries is not enough to get its people or the food prise is very expensive, people have not enough capacity to buy them .under these circumstances .people need to eat anything that they can eat to servive .so the white porridge there has been treated as a treasure .in hong Kong ,no one would rush to get a bowl of white porridge because Hong kong people has enough food to eat .but most of them always waste plenty of food I think they should not be narrow-eyed and they should buy enough food to eat .every day when they waste food, they should think there are alot of people in another side of the earth always feel hungry!

However, we can see there is a 20-litre styrofoam box fill with cloudy yellow water mixed with sugar. And serval dead worms were floating in the liquid.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

After see this photo, I think the food that sold on the street is very dirty because there are many pollutions on the road. Some of the pollutants is harmful to human bodies. If we eat or drink these food, we will get sick such as cholera. Many of them didn’t get permission from the government. It is illegal. They shouldn’t sell their dirty food on the street, the police will catch them. And the government should set up law and let more people patrol on the road. If they see some people sell food on the street that without permission, the management should stop and drive out them immediately. Don’t let them use the dirty food to harm the citizens. The government should also educate the people don’t buy the food from the street that without permission. The people should control their mouths, don’t always buy the food from street

Description: This is a video clip promoting saving water and donation campaign from charitywater. “Almost a billion people live without clean drinking water. We call this water crisis. It’s a crisis because it only starts with water -- but water affects everything in life. Health. Education. Food security. And the lives of women and children, especially. We can end the water crisis in our lifetime. But first we have to learn how water changes everything.” the water crisis is solvable. There are solutions. Some are brand new and innovative like water filtration systems. A safe water Project near a village way stores hours each day to a person's life. It's opportunity. It's freedom to go to school and get an education to work or start a business to raise a family. It is important to conserve water due to water scarcity. It is important to help people in need due to the dirty water resources in those areas.

Reflection: I have understood why conserving water is so important. Water crisis is serious in developing areas such as subsaharan Africa. Women and children who lives less than a dollar a day cannot just turn on the faucet for a glass of water and they have to collect water from far away swamp. It wastes time to collect therefore women cannot earn an income or take care of their family and children cannot go to school. The dirty water is been sitting out in the open exposed to all kind of germs. Hence their health are affected negatively.

I am not just worrying about their health, such as diarrhea, and also about their uncertain future. Their live keep spending like that, so, poverty, low educated cannot be solved. It is not fair. Everyone has a chance to learn to read and write. I am looking forward to the day which everyone realizes how important and emerging the problem is, and start to save water and donate money to the safe water project there. And also, building a beautiful and peaceful world.

There are rocks and clay everywhere , the land also looks unhealthy . The livestock are eating the grass but no one prevent them to stop .

Reflection:

Overgrazing refers to the behavior of grazing livestock with excessive density beyond the capacity of the ecosystem to regulate . To get more income , many farmers will increase their produce of crops , but the picture shows the overgrazing of the land , where many livestocks eat ups all the grass that protects the soil , Overgrazing can lead to soil erosion . The land is high in salt because it loses good quality of grass, also the livestocks eat up the grass, when the plucked soil is washed by rain water , it falls into the river together . Siltation will also become more serious, and river capacity will be greatly reduced , cause the flooding . To eased the flooding problem ,

I have some ideas :

1.Because of the silting , the holding capacity decrease , so that the flooding cause easily ,

2.we can dredging the river channels , decrease the silting , also we can stop grazing on steep slopes ,

3.planting the trees to control the plucked soil .

These ideas can prevent the soil wash into the river , less silting helps increase the water capacity so that the water will not spill out the water channel easily ,

In the following video.we can see that some less developed countries, just can have very little water to Maintain the daily life. The housewife need to take some POLLUTED water every day.How Sad are they?

Reflection :
Our daily life can't without the water.Without water ,We can't take a bath. We can't drink fresh water. We can't cook food . We can have water transport etc. And the water problem Become a water shortage. So now what we can do is to find some methods of ways to solve this water shortage. The world we're living here is our home and we can't just Seeing this problem and not to give some helps. So let me list some solution to the water shoto prevent water pollution.Clean up your yard regularly .

Description:
The photo show much sewage flows to the lake from those drains. The sewage will pollute the sea because those water is discharged without treatment so it will reduce the fresh water. If people drink those water, it may affect to people's health. The sewage may reduce the living area of fish and pollute the environment that may makes the fish dies and affect the fish reproduction. If the sewage becomes more, the pests also becomes more that the pests may bring out some disease.
Reflection:

First, I am so disappointed to the government. They have a poor management to the sewage. Too much sewage is discharged into ocean and sea without treatment. I think the government control the sewage by passing law. Second, water is the most important thing to our life that water is used in many ways like cooking, water activities. Although the charge of water is low or many people can afford, we must not waste water because it means that you are reducing the amount of fresh water. Finally, pollute water will set up the water recycle that the precipitation will become dirty so it will pollute many crops. If people eat those polluted crops, people may be sick. So sewage is also affect to our ’s health.

After I saw this photo, I have learnt that we should discharged the sewage after treatment that the environment will still clean and green.

Downstream, the untreated water is used for drinking, bathing, and washing. This situation is typical of many rivers in India and river Ganga is less polluted comparatively.

Reflation:
I know that there are no clean water in many places to use. Therefore, we should cherish the drinking water to avoid wastage and pollution. We must not regret losing it until we lose it. Although we may not be able to play a small role, I hope that more richer countries can join hands to solve some local food. Water problems such as India can be seen here.

Food insecurity is the real problem of Pakistan as poor law and order situation and natural calamities have caused a sharp decline in food security across the country, regardless of adequate national food production to meet the needs of Pakistan’s 180 million people. There is dire need to promote biotech/GM crops, modified through biotechnology, as the proper use of biotechnology approach is vital for rapid agriculture development and healthcare in the country

Reflection
The simple reason for the success of biotech crops in the U.S., and in another 28 countries around the world, is that they generate significant and multiple benefits by reducing yield loss from insect pests, weeds and diseases, and also result in substantial savings of pesticides. Biotechnology can bring food security in the country as the technology has great potential to enhance food production in the country by 5 to 6 per cent. As per World Food Programme (WFP), Pakistani government has estimated that more than 20 million people across the country were affected by the flood crisis; of which more than 10 million were found to be in need of immediate assistance.

About 1.4bn hectares, or close to 30% of available agricultural land, is used to grow or farm food that is subsequently wasted. This is particularly alarming given estimates that by 2050 food production will need to have increased by 60% on 2005 levels to feed a growing global population. Reducing food wastage would ease the burden on resources as the world attempts to meet future demand.
Reflection
First,Each year 1.3bn tonnes of food, about a third of all that is produced, is wasted, including about 45% of all fruit and vegetables, 35% of fish and seafood, 30% of cereals, 20% of dairy products and 20% of meat.I think we should not waste too many food. It is because in some of the places have no food to eat, like India, Pakistan......
Second,The availability of advanced technique in developed countries is responsible for their high production which is not available in poor and developing countries. These developed countries do not transfer their techniques to poor and developing countries in order to increase their export.I think the places which have high techniques
should help the one which is poor.

At more than 160 million people, the population of Nigeria is the largest in Africa .In today's Nigeria, one of the Major Problems of Food Production is Poverty. They really lack there is the money to buy the Food or even the money to procure small Piece of Land to Grow the Food. They are also illiteracy .They can neither read or write. The climax of illiteracy there, is Nigeria's Total Negligence. They also lack Of Road; Water; & Electricity The Rural Farming Communities in Nigeria have neither Road nor Water nor Electricity.

Reflection:

The agencies, which include UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and World Food Programme (WFP) help Nigeria to solve the food problem. The Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) and flagship projects agree to adopt sound policies for agricultural and rural development, and commit ourselves to allocating at least 10% of national budgetary resources for their implementation within five years. After I saw the people in Nigeria , they do not have enough food to eat. I think they are very poor . So, I will appreciate the food and do not wast the food anymore .We need innovative ,multi-faceted solution. Fresh food matters for our own health and for the health of our planet. I think government should incentives and penalties play a role in reducing food waste as well. For example, one strategy with big impact is centralised composting.

Cheung Wai Yan
The photo shows the serios food problem in India. As we see in the picture below they just have a little amount of rice in their bowls. There are some factors why food shortages occur.First is the rapid increased of population, second is poverty, and lastly low farming skills and materials. Are there some measures to decreased this problem? Can people in India overcome this serious problem that they are facing?
Reflection:
India suffers food shortages for quite a long time but until now they are still up to it especially those who are in remote areas because of rapid growth of population. However I believed there are measures in uplifting their lives.First,We can give food aid to those unfortunate families, but just for a short period of time.Second,They should have knowledge in family planning, that they may use contraceptives, and other means of birth control in order to decrease the growth of population each year that would lead them to a more serious conditon.Third, the local government should imply short term education like for example kneeding, sowing and handcrafting ect.for free in order to provide even a little amount of money for their families.Lastly, teach them how to grow crops properly and productively. With all this measures i believed that somehow food shortage in india will be ease. We,people of hongkong are more furtunate than those from India because there are more oppurtunies and establishments that our country has,our economy is more stable than them.More work for people less food problems.

In Cambodia, the biggest challenge is stunting or chronic malnutrition which is a growth failure in a child caused by an insufficient intake of essential nutrients in early childhood. During the first 1,000 days of life, between conception and the age of two, children are growing the essential building blocks of their adult life. Eighty percent of brain development happens during these critical first two years.Without the right nutrition during early childhood, a child’s physical and mental development is compromised irreversibly. The body cannot fully develop, cognitive ability is diminished and there is a higher risk for disease and mortality. The picture shows that a health worker measures a student's mid-upper arm circumference in order to quickly determine if she is malnourished.
Reflection
I know that there are not enough food in the world. Therefore, we should treasure the food we have. We should not waste the food we have.We should eat all the food we have order and we should not order too many food as we can not eat.I have learnt that I was really so lucky as I can eat fully.I think the government in Cambodia should give the people more chance to work to earn more money.Or else, the food problem overthere won't improve. We are more furtunate than those from Cambodia because there are more oppurtunies and establishments that our country has. Also, our economy is more stable than them.

Feeding China’s population of 1.3 billion people is a difficult task, even under the best of circumstances. Securing enough food for its people, however, will be even more difficult for China in the years ahead due to a number of factors, including increased competition from a growing global population, the reduction of the country’s agricultural work force as millions of Chinese farmers flock to the cities, and the changing diets of its population as Chinese become more affluent.
I think the food problem in China is serious.Although some of the part in China is rich and have enough food to eat,the other part of China is totally different. Here are somebody of the major problems affecting the food production.First, the environmental limitations. In North and the North-east China, winter Ian too cold and long.It makes the growing season short.North-east China is too dry.West China is a place with highlands and mountains so it is difficult for farming.Second, low levels of technology and mechanisation.Because the average share of farmland per farmer in China is small so the large machines can not be used.Chinese farmers are usually poor and have low level of education so they don not know how to use the modern machines and they do not have enough money to buy the machines to improve the farm production.

Description :
The prevalence of obesity in the United States began to rise sharply starting in the early 1980s. Since then, our food environment has changed in ways that encourage eating in more places, with greater frequency, and in much larger portions. In part, these changes in society happened as a result of the increasingly frantic pace of modern life. The problem in America is the people eat too many fast and unhealthy food. Finally, many people are facing the problem of obesity.

Reflection :
I think the Americans should be more clever in choosing the food they eat. Always eating the fast food is very unhealthy and it causes many diseases. For example, obesity, diabetes etc. They should change their eating habits. Moreover, at issue is not only how to reduce the disparities in income, education, health, and cultural values between the haves and have-nots, but also whether it is necessary for our American democracy to do so. I would argue yes. Others might disagree.Because this argument depends on values, how best to end hunger in America becomes a matter of politics. As is the case with many food issues, the question of whether government assistance increases dependency depends on who you are. The poor are not alone in enjoying the benefits of government largesse.

Description:
As I mentioned in the title, the post is going to talk about long term water shortage in India, but in the capital which is Delin.
The shortage is mostly caused by the high demand of water. For examples, bad management, lack of knowledge of using water and water pollution.

Reflection:
Since India doesn’t have much money for using some large cost technique. Don’t expect too much. Water shortage also affect their economic activities. It makes India lack of money.
Here’s some suggestions for them:
First, knowledge is important that teach and learn make a great future for them. Therefore, teach children and adult that correct way to use water but not 10 times more than normal.
Next, use your water once more. The government can actually build something to make reusable water just like the sewage treatment plant in Hong Kong or just use the water you wash clothes (without soap and stuff) to water plants.
Lastly, buy enough water from the others countries. For example, China. It’s actually a good way for increasing supply of water and building good relationships with the others countries. However, just buy enough of it.
And it is the end of the post. If you have more idea to suggest. Black and rolling black water ran into the Yangtze river, where once the fertile fields turned into thousands of acres of wasteland, the plants were poisoned, the animals were undrinkable, and the farmers no longer farmed.

The pictures is related to the news.

reflection:

Located on the south bank of the Yangtze river, xiangyu town in dongzhi county, chizhou city, anhui province, is a tributary of the Yangtze river, which is now a pool of harmful water. Farmers cannot use it to farming; And the fertile fields around the river turned into acres of wasteland; The river flows into the changjiang in black water ——sewage. It is used to water plants for the "mother river". The plants and animals there also get some hurt.

This has caused great inconvenience to people's lives. In addition, it has been reported that in the part of the polluted water of the Yangtze river, the content of the chemical "benzene" is 136 times higher than the normal level.

This has greatly influenced the health of nearby residents - or the plants they grow - and the news that they have been traced to nearby factories and discharge of sewage sewage.

In general, we hope that this kind of event will not happen again and again, and we hope to have a reliable sewage treatment system to attain it。Or maybe just few change of our.

Song Tan Tung 2A(17)

Description:
Look at the photo. Yep, this is a baby who lack of food.Ms. Thomas, the UNICEF water and hygiene specialist, said that during Somalia's last famine, the deadliest areas were not the empty deserts where there was little food but the displaced-persons camps near urban areas where, comparatively speaking, there was plenty of food.

Reflection:
As you see the topic, it's talk about the food problem of Africa. Have you think about the starve baby when you wasting your food? In the suburbs of Baidoa, southwest of Somalia, Africa, the trees were roasted to dryness in the scorching sun. The drought-tolerant goats also fell in a severe drought. The water in the village is increasingly depleted. The remaining water turns from clear to turbid, then turns red, and finally becomes muddy green. However, the villagers still drink the dirty water because they have no choice.

Many villagers were forced to leave their homes. On a hot, flat, poorly soiled plateau on the outskirts of Baidoa, thousands of people displaced by droughts and wars set up tents here in abundance. Many people embrace their stomachs and look in pain. Some people were excreted on the spot, and the corpse after the cholera raging was still seen on the ground.

Hey guys I'm Leung Chin Hang, see you later:)

Description:

This picture is taken in India. In the photo we can see that they only have one piece of bread, but there have five hands to grad it, so we can see that in India, the food is very less. Many people had no food to eat, because they are poor and the population is too high. There are a lot of reason to cause the food problem, like the reason of weather and soil, political conditions.

Reflection:

The people of India, is very poor in the food problem, so government have some solutions to solve it. Like using sustainable farming methods, developing the rural economy and infrastructure, birth control etc.We should do something too, like save the food by ourselves, and donate money to the food shortage place.Between 33-50% of all food produced globally is never eaten, and the value of this wasted food is worth over $1 trillion. To put that in perspective, in the USA food waste represents 1.3% of the total GDP. Food waste is a massive market inefficiency, the kind of which does not persist in other industries. We should not waste the food because many people need the food very much.

Description:
This picture is taken in Africa. It shows that the food problem is serious very much. But the food prices are still keep increasing. They could not use money to buy food and could not survive. You can see that all of the faces were angry and unhappy. They were dissatisfied about the food problem.
Reflection:
After I searched the information,i knew more about Africa and feel thanksgiving that i lived in Hong Kong.
Although the World Bank Group has already helped them, none of them comes close to a solution to the mammoth problem. I am aware of that many people knew the problems in Africa but no one can solve or help these problems certainly. I want to give some suggestion about the food problems.Road; Water; & Electricity is very inconvenient for their life. The government should provide Road; Water; & Electricity. The government should improve their knowledges to let them read and write. This can help people to learn framing easily and conveniently. Then it would be solve the food problems. Many countries have already provided these things and are developing other technology. I thought the government is irresponsible and relatively unfair to its national with other countries. (eg.French,Germany, etc)

We cannot solve all the problems immediately. But if we do it together, I believe that the problems will solve in the future. I do not waste my food as far as possible and not just pay money for donate.
Thx for your reading:)

Description:This photo shows a river in Shaoxing has been polluted by leaked fuel.It shows the seriousness of the water pollution in China, and even Asia.A recent study found that about fifty percent of river in Asia has been polluted. That means the water problem in Asia is a problem that the government needs to fix this problem immediately or they can't stop the problem in the future.Reflection:The photo has proved the seriousness of the water problem and the water pollution in Asia. To prevent the pollution in the river in Asia,we need to do something to stop the pollutions. For example, the photo of the river in Shaoxing, I think the government should prevent people to pour the leaked fuel into the river,It causes the river starts to produce algae and have a great impact to the environment of the living animals in the river.Second,I think that the government should teach the public not to pollute water in the river. The main reason of the river is polluted because the public dont know where they can dispose the trash or pollutants. If the government teaches the public not to dispose the pollutants to the river, then the public will not dispose them into the river, also this can make the pollutants stops to be put in the river. To conclude,I think the government should correct the problem before it is too late .If the government do nothing, the river in China and Asia will be polluted more and there will be no chance to change in the future

Food Problem
This photo is about the food security outcomes in East Africa. There have 5 acute food insecurity phase. They are minimal, stressed, crisis, emergency and famine. Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda are minimal. South Sudan, Mogadishu are stressed and crisis . Sana 'a Yemen, Somalia are crisis and emergency.

Reflection
After I see this photo, I know that there have millions of people in East Africa are facing the threat of hunger and famine. And I start to think about how much food waste that we make in our daily life? How many children in the East Africa cannot get enough food to eat and become malnourished? Also, I try to know more about why are people in Africa facing chronic hunger? And I know that this is because recurring drought , conflict , and instability.
In such conditions, poor families don't have any money. They can't afford enough food to keep their children healthy! For the solution to solve this food problem in East Africa, we can use the most direct and immediate solution: provide food aid. This solution can help to save lives. And World Vision can provide treatment of childhood malnutrition, such as Doctor Without Borders. They can help the poor increase incomes, like support for farmers to diversify livelihoods.
