This story reminds us that silence is something we must slow down to notice. In our busy and noisy lives, we sometimes forget to pause and truly listen.

When Mr. Bing plans to eat him for breakfast, Arnie becomes frightened and tries to persuade Mr. Bing not to eat him. Through their conversation, Arnie explains that he could be more useful as a companion rather than as food.

In the end, Mr. Bing decides to keep Arnie instead of eating him, and Arnie becomes his unusual but loyal friend.

I like this story because it is humorous and creative. It also shows how communication and quick thinking can change a difficult situation.

Her mom is a dress maker, managed to sew the last stiches in the gown she was making. But she had a bad headache, so she don't have the strength to bring it to the ball. Irene do it for her and take care of her.

I chose this story because Irene is a very good child. She can take care of her mother and is very independent. She can do many tasks by herself. I admire children like her because she is really brave.

This story tells me that no matter where I am from or what I am, I am welcome at the school. In our lives, we would meet people from different countries and different races, and we should respect each other.

A new argument erupted when the badgers realized Francie had used berries from their side of the river to make her cookies, leading them to demand all the treats for themselves. As the two groups traded insults, Francie stepped in and asked why they couldn't simply share the space and the resources. She pointed out that if they tried to get along, everyone could enjoy her baking. 

Today, the otters and badgers live together on both sides of the river. While they still have occasional disagreements, they are united by one common truth: Francie bakes the best treats in the entire valley. 

I like this story because it shows how groups who think they are too different to get along can find common ground and realize they can live together happily.

The story changes during a school picnic when a boy named Buster forgets his lunch. He is very hungry and finally decides to try a bite of Carla's special sandwich. To his surprise, he loves it! Soon, all the other children want a taste, and they realize that Carla’s "weird" food is actually delicious. By the end of the story, all the kids start bringing their own creative sandwiches to school, showing that they finally accept Carla’s style.

This story teaches us that we should always be ourselves, even if other people think we are a bit strange. It shows that being "different" is a good thing and that we shouldn't judge things or people before we get to know them. It also reminds us to be kind and open-minded, because trying something new might lead to a wonderful surprise.

Arnie refuses to be a snack and convinces Mr. Bing that he can be much more. In the end, they find a funny solution: Mr. Bing keeps Arnie as a doughnut-dog and takes him for walks on a leash instead of eating him.

What impressed me the most is how the story uses exaggeration to reflect a real-life problem. Many people, especially students, often feel pressure to fit in and be accepted by others. Camilla’s condition symbolizes how losing your true self can happen when you constantly try to please others.

Contrary to popular belief, aliens don't want to take over the planet; they just want to collect underwear. The aliens have a blast playing with their finds. They use the elastic to host "Upside-Down-Pants" races, use long johns as slides, and even hide inside frilly panties. The aliens are extremely quick and sneaky. They whizz back to space the moment a human appears, which is why they are never caught in the act. The book ends with a funny warning to children: always check your underpants before putting them on, just in case an alien is still hanging around. 

His teacher tells him to “stay cool and keep it together.” At first, Clark does can’t do that. Then Clark find a way to remember “stay cool” Slowly, he learns how to control his body and his voice. He learns when to be quiet and how to play nicely with others.

In the end, Clark can still have fun, but in a better way. His friends feel happy playing with him, and Clark becomes a kind and good friend.

I like this reflection because it has a clear lesson about understanding others. The ideas are meaningful, but there are a few grammar and spelling mistakes that could be fixed to make it smoother.

As one of my first picture books, it taught me a lot of things through colorful pictures, how to count from 1 to 5, what the days of the weeks are, what a few fruits are called, also the cycle of a butterfly.

Now re-reading it, I noticed that is also showed me how to eat healthy. The caterpillar, after eating many sweets had a stomach ache. Then later after choosing to eat a healthy leaf, felt much better.

Mistakes are part of learning, growth happens step by step. Mistakes are part of learning, learning balance is an important thing. Even a tiny little thing can turn into something beautiful.
