         <title>                                      Legendary Greek Battles </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There were three important battles - The Battle of Marathon, The Battle of Thermopylae, and The Battle of Salamis.</div><ul><li>The Battle of Marathon was remembered for the Greek soldier named Pheidippides who ran for two days and nights (150 miles) before the battle to call for help. The Greeks fought an army of 20,000.&nbsp;</li><li>In the Battle of Thermopylae a huge Persian army was trying to invade Greece and 300 Spartans led by King Leonidas stood in their way. The Spartans were very brave and courageous, but unfortunately they lost.</li><li>In the Battle of Salamis the Persian king Xerxes watched from a throne set up on the shore, expecting an easy victory. The Greeks attacked with their boats when their enemies were stuck in a narrow channel. The Greeks won and it was such a memorable victory.</li></ul><div><a href="https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/articles/zckr4wx">https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/articles/zckr4wx</a></div>]]></description>

         <title>                                       The Spartan Soldier State</title>
