Our school administrators use this to record assemblies, announcements, PD videos etc. I use this to film asynchronous work for home instruction as well as presentations for the committees I'm apart of and videos to communicate with parents/ students (i.e. a Back to school night presentation for parents who couldn't attend). These websites serve similar purposes so for assignment's sake I will be grouping them together. This tool is used more so by educators than administrators but has been an important tool. These websites help create interactive learning in a lesson through many ways- collaborative walls, games to enhance learning, student self-pacing etc. The one benefit of Pear deck is that you are better able to monitor student progress on the site, but I personally prefer nearpod. Me personally, I've used them at every district I've worked at as an educator or freelance curriculum worker. Google classroom is a way to not only have students abut to see work/ send work but also it gives their parents/ guardians access. Google meet is one of primary video call apps our district uses (IEP meetings, department meetings- pretty much most labeled meetings).

I could probably write a paper just on the importance of this source for a district to use. Through this application a teacher can message the student's individual device to help steer a student if they are on a different website during class (it also lets you block that site altogether from the student's computer). From an administrator stand point this is a great tool for safety. If a student looks up something that could be seen as potentially dangerous it will be sent to our administrators and guidance. These websites are heavily used at a majority of districts in the state as a way of documentation a myriad of things (grading, attendance, record keeping, schedule access, legal note keeping etc.). Students/ parents are also able to access the site through a portal. I personally have used all three programs but prefer Genesis the most out of the three for its many capabilities and ways to keep myself organized. Administrators also use these types of applications heavily.
