-Went to visit the Robert Powell Theatre as the film is set there.
-Did a full read through of the script and spoke to the Director and Producer about ideas for costume, hair and makeup.

First ideas:
Blake:
Costume: Beige Chinos, Turtleneck, Chelsea boots or converse, skinny scarf, glasses, maybe beanie or hat. 
Makeup: light dusting of face powder, use eyeshadow to emphasis fine lines to make him look older.
Hair: actor keeps hair the same
 
Charlie: 
Costume: More Youthful.
Skinny Jeans, plain t-shirt and zip up, trainers.
Makeup: No Makeup
Hair: actor keeps hair the same 
 
Sadie: 
Costume: Hospital Gown or Nighty and Denim Jacket to distinguish between the play and real life.
Makeup: Natural makeup, pale foundation and eyeshadow to create dark circles.
Hair: Hair down, messy and slightly greasy. 
 
Alisha: 
Costume: 1940s Nurse Uniform, heeled brogues. 
Makeup: Light natural base, thin eyebrows and a red lip. 
Hair: Pin Curls, hair down or in a bun.
 
Alexandra:
Costume: Black Shall, coloured Jumper to highlight her niceness, black trousers and trainers. 
Makeup: Light natural base with rosy cheeks. 
Hair: In low bun or low ponytail. 
 
Actor One:
Costume: White Shirt, Black tie, White lab coat, and black brogues.
Makeup: powder
Hair: Comb over 
 
Actor two:
Costume: Smart jacket, knitted jumper, trousers and smart shoes. 
Hair: Smart Hair
Makeup: No makeup

-With Alisha's makeup I took a lot of inspiration for popular makeup in the 1940's. Where a fresh base and a pop of red on the lips was in style. 
-However, looking back I would have changed her eyebrows to look more thin, as I do feel they look very modern.
-With Alisha's hair i also did a lot of research into 1940's hair styles. I ended up parting her hair in a side part and creating a poof on one side.

-Initially we wanted her to be in a hospital gown, however we had problems trying to source one that looked like it was from the 1940's. Therefore I made the decision to go for a nighty instead.
-I also decided to add a denim jacket, and she would wear this to allow the audience to distinguish between the two eras. So when she had the denim jacket on, it allowed the audience know she was in real time and not acting in the play.
