         <title>Missouri Compromise</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>(1820s)</p><p>The legislation made public that Missouri was a slave state and Maine was a non-slave state at the same time because they didn't want to upset the balance between slave and free states in the country. It also outlawed slavery above a certain latitude line in the remainder of the Louisiana Territory.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>(1850s)</p><p>The Compromise of 1850 were made up of 2 resolutions Senator Henry Clay were in the works of making. The 1st resolution would mean California was a free state and the Utah Territory and New Mexico Territory could vote on the issue of slavery. The 2nd resolution would ban slave trade from Washington D.C., the nation's capital. But it would not ban slavery itself from the region.</p>]]></description>

Violence broke out between the groups who had a conflict with each other but when Kansas joined the Union as a free state, the conflict ended in January 1861. Thats when the era became forever known as Bleeding Kansas.</p>]]></description>

The Dred Scott Decision was a ruling that Dred Scott, was not a free man. Just because he was taken to live in a free territory, that did not make him a free man.</p>]]></description>
