The Great Depression was a time when the stock markets went crashing down and a lot of people went broke and lost their homes.Their president at the time Herbert Hoover did almost nothing about the Great Depression. He came from a wealthy family so money was never really a problem for him so he thought they can figure this out on there own. 

2. The new deal programs helped the economy by helping businesses to not go bankrupt, a system was developed to control the ways that stocks were bought and sold this helped the people regain their trust in the economy. Some concerns about the programs involved the government in too many business decisions and did not allow the free enterprise system to fix the harm that came from the stock market crash 

 3. The New Deal investigated the banks and reopened the ones that were run properly. They were allowed to help the farms and businesses that were going to go bankrupt with low interest loans. It also helped people that had jobs with the Wagner act and put   people back to work. FDR created many helpful programs that helped rebuild America. 

 4. The stock market crash of nineteen twenty nine caused a problem for the American economy because investors afraid of losing their money tried to sell their stocks, but that only made the prices fall faster. This caused the stocks to become worthless and the banks failed and many people lost their life savings which ruined the economy.

5. Some of the causes of the new deal were new jobs, new buildings, roads, bridges, and dams. Some of the effects were better irrigation for Soil for the farmers and prevented flooding new utilities such  as hydro electricity for the people in rural areas so they could see at night.
