Then Erica runs to Ben and shoots the gun, she gives the gun to Alexander Hale. Next she pulls Ben to the bridge and has him jump into the raging river, they nearly drowned in the river. After that Erica and her father (Alexander Hale) have an argument after that she walks away with Ben and she tells her father that there are bears coming. Then the bears chase her father and Erica scares them away.

In the morning Piper and Jason woke up to the sound of Coach Hedge yelling at the top of his lungs and some weird crazy sentences. Then, they saw a man in his pajamas with a toothbrush in his mouth and he was standing there wide eyed. Coach Hedge's first instinct was to charge and go to kill them but it took Piper, Jason, and Leo to hold them back. The man introduced himself as King Midas. Whenever he touched something it would freeze and turn solid gold. Running water over the substance that has been goldified and it will return back to normal. Jason had the choice to choose either being goldified or fighting King Midas's son who was known for being an undefeated warrior. King Midas turns Leo and Piper to gold and Jason immediately flips his coin and gets a javelin. Jason struck lightning down on the mansion and the lightning sliced wherever he wanted to like butter. Jason unfroze and ungoldified Leo and Piper and the storm spirits carried them to a cave far away from that mansion.

While they are at the hospital they put Alexander Hale in a wheel chair, then take him out to the parking lot where they steal a car. Then they start driving to where Murray Hill is at jail to see if he is still there. They get to the town and Erica gets a motel.

Then when Kronos has Percy down they got the son of Hephaestus but they forgot to check the engine room where he put most of the explosives and they go down there to disarm them but he explodes them while Percy throws his sword at Kronos startles him and dives into the sea where then the ship blows up along with the son of Hephaestus.

Piper yelled that the 2 boys for not yelling at her like she was crazy and then Leo did some kind of Morse code to Jason and he nodded. Leo finished cooking the burgers while Piper was just starting to get hypothermic. Then a huge pack of wolves approached them with their teeth bare and glowing red eyes. Out of nowhere they kept getting shot by arrows and one of them almost killed the leader of the back but missed and the wolves ran away. Then the Hunters of Artemis show themselves as the ones who fired those arrows. The leader of the Hunters, Thalia, ordered everyone except for Phoebe and her to move on and follow those wolves. When Thalia removes her hood, Jason immediately realizes that they are brother and sister. Not just in the cabin of Zeus, for real life before their demigod life. Phoebe takes care of Piper's hypothermia and Thalia and Jason get to catch up on what happened to them.

She opens it and gives Ava a huge hug! Harper says "You're right! we should have never even come to Celia's party!". When they walk out of the bathroom Harper tells Celia that she doesn't want to be a CSG (Cambridge Street Girl) and tells Saya that she needs to stop listening to Celia all the time and that she needs to be herself! Ava and Harper walk out of Sugar Crazy and Harper calls her grandma to pick them up. When Harper gets home she runs inside hugs her parents, picks up Reese the Wrecker and swings her around. When they get there it does not look like a jail and it looks like a day care, they go inside and see supposedly Murray Hill but Ban knows that it is not him right away and then he admits that SPYDER paid him 100k to go there. After that the figure out SPYDER is there any try to run away but then they see them and run the other way and find a slippery grease and put it on the stairs.

Thalia leads Jason, Piper, and Leo to the bridge made out of plain air, built by the spirits of the different winds, and the bridge leads to a palace that was the palace of Aeolus. It was very magical and he had what looks like a thousand flying auras helping him prepare for one of his news broadcasts which was called "The News of Olympus" It apparently aired every 12 minutes. Jason, Piper, and Leo met a wind aura named Mellie. Mellie guided them to where they would meet Aeolus. Mellie instructed into a walkie talkie for a floor to come up in the airing area and a few seconds later, there was a floor there that looked like it was made of leftover food. They meet Aeolus and request for some information on where they could find the giant that is keeping Piper's dad. Then, they can free Piper's dad and hopefully rescue Hera in less than 24 hours. They figure out that the giant that is keeping Piper's dad is named Enceladus. The main thing that they learned from Aeolus was who their main enemy was. Their main enemy was Gaia. Gaia is the mother of all great warriors. She was the start of every great warrior. To name a few: The Titans, The Gods, The Cyclops and many more. That was their enemy when she was asleep. If she awoke, it would be the end of the gods in a matter of hours. Gaia is pretty much completely unstoppable when she is awake and extremely hard to defeat when she is asleep. She is almost always asleep and the gods would like it if she stayed like that for a few more millennia or eons. Enceladus breathes fire on the demigods. He spots Piper almost immediately and tries to convince her to betray her friends. Then, he raises ogres, the Earthborn, from the earth. Jason makes eye contact with his friends, and they develop a new game plan. A fight breaks out, and Leo uses nearby construction equipment to shatter the Earthborn. In a moment of panic, he calls on his father, and Hephaestus comes to his aid. Piper frees her father and joins the fight.

Jason calls down on his father for something to help as the giant Enceladus was clearly winning against all 3 of them in the fight. Zeus comes down with a huge lightning bolt that should have killed Enceladus but it only made a couple of nasty scars on him. Enceladus's spear met Jason's glaive and Jason's glaive exploded. That should have killed Enceladus too but it yet again did not. Piper used the element of surprise and told the giant to turn around. The giant did and just then Leo and Jason came in to stab and slash Enceladus. They then defeated Enceladus and saved Piper's dad. All 4 of them get into a helicopter and fly off to the Wolf House which is where they would meet Thalia. The demigods head to the Wolf House, which Jason now remembers was built by Jack London, an author and demigod. He also realizes he used to live there. While Jason rests, Piper tells Leo that she’s afraid of what might happen when Jason regains his memory. Leo assures her that she can trust him, and trust herself. Jason is afraid and overwhelmed by the memories coming back to him. He realizes he has never been in more danger. He confronts Khione and he has realized she tricked Hera into coming to the Wolf House. She admits this, and tells him that killing him there is part of her plan, too: “his brethren” will believe the Greeks from Camp Half-Blood conspired with giants to kill him. It is her plan to destroy the mortal world, starting with its roots in Greece. Then a fight breaks out among the monsters vs the demigods and Hunters who were almost already out of arrows.

Lina got a plumber as a job and her friend got Messenger and they swapped jobs. on Lina's first day she did 19 messages and then she went to the mayor to give him a message. Cooper starts practicing the part of Romeo in the hopes of taking the part from Brock. Mr.Wolfson throws a party each year and Cooper goes to the party and he says almost all of Romeo's part and everyone is surprised and Brock is supper mad at Cooper because he thinks he's trying to make Jolie like him. Cooper and the cast of the play go to Mr.Wolfson's private museum and he asks a lot of questions that make Mr.Wolfson really mad and the cast and Cooper were thrown out of his museum and now everyone is mad at him. Roddy can go out of the phone a lot longer now and Cooper is scared that someone is going to see him and track him back to Cooper.

While Ben is in the mine he finds the missile control center and sees Murray. Next he takes Murray's gun and tells him to stop the missile from hitting the president or he will shoot him, but then Joshua Hallal comes up behind him and is surprised that Ben knew it was him. After that Ben distracts them and steps backwards so he is on the plug to the missile. Next Joshua looks away for a second and Ben pulls the plug, then the missile stops and when it lands back on the platform it explodes and creates a fire that explodes the mine. Then everybody starts running out and Ben tackles Murray. Ben keeps running because he still has to get Joshua and Joshua falls down a cliff.

Leo says that he has watched a show before, and there are ghosts, and the ghosts always have a reason to be haunting that place. Ginny did some research, and found out that Annette has been diagnosed with cancer, and died a terrible death. They all feel terrible, but now they know why she is haunting them. They think it is because she wants revenge.

Jason has to buy Leo and Piper some time so that they can break Hera's cage. Jason sees that the king of the Giants, Porphyrion (He was destined to kill the Lord of the gods, Zeus) is rising and almost ready to fight. Jason really has no other choice but to charge Polphyrion with a good old fashioned chunk of wood. Jason realizes that it will not be enough to kill him but it will be enough to give him a good ole Tylenol headache. Jason does just that while Leo and Piper finally break the cage free. Then Polphyrion immediately retreats back to Gaea to awake in his full and true form. There is no stopping any of the Giants when they are in their true form. The Hunters go on to do more fighting and get more quests from Artemis while Hera talks to Jason, Leo, and Piper and sends them back to Camp Half-Blood in seconds. They land on top of the tables right in the middle of dinner at the pavilion. After they eat dinner they are asked only about million questions. After they get done answering them all, Jason heads back to his cabin and is caught by Hera praying to his father for guidance on his next quest. Hera speaks to Jason about how they need each other if they were going to defeat the Giants and Gaea wether you like it or not. Leo shows his cabinmates and Chiron Bunker Nine, as well as his ability to create fire. Hephaestus has left Festus’s head on the table. Leo explains to his group that he wants to begin building the ship with Festus’s head that he has seen in the bunker’s diagrams, as well as in his own dreams. Leo will be calling that ship Argos II. The ship will be designed by Leo himself, and he was then declared the leader of Hephaestus cabin. Leo will be designing the ship very warlike and ready to strike at any moment. Chiron explains that the bunker was built during the Civil War between Greek and Roman demigods (an event that the American Civil War paralleled). Since then, each group has been ignorant of the other’s existence. Leo is confident that they must all prepare for the seven demigods’ quest to save the world.Leo shows his cabinmates and Chiron Bunker Nine, as well as his ability to create fire. Hephaestus has left Festus’s head on the table. Leo explains to his group that he wants to begin building the ship with Festus’s head that he has seen in the bunker’s diagrams, as well as in his own dreams. That would also explain why Jason thinks in Roman terms rather than Greek terms.

Lupa, the leader of a pack of wolves with whom he has lived and trained these past months, tells him that he will regain his memory if he completes the journey he is now on. Percy does not know what this journey will entail. His main concern is getting away from the gorgons, so he uses a serving platter one of the gorgons was carrying to slide down the hill. After Percy slides down the hill and almost breaks every bone in his body, he meets an old woman at a stand. The old woman introduced herself as June and requests for Percy to carry her to a door that is heavily guarded. Percy has a bad feeling about it but June insists. Percy sprints over to the door with June on his back, and she is growing heavier by the second. The guards at the door raise their bows but instead of shooting Percy, they shoot the gorgons that are flying above him. The guards usher Percy inside and the male guard who seems to be Frank, leads Percy in. The gorgons made it in and Percy immediately concentrated on the water from the river and willed the water to grab the gorgons and disintegrate them for good.

Hazel's curse was that whenever she got anxious or nervous, she would drop valuable items such as gold or rubies. If someone touched that item, they would be cursed. Nico and Hazel are both children of Hades/Pluto, Frank has not been claimed by his godly parent yet whilst he is still relatively new, and Percy is obviously a son of Poseidon/Neptune.

Frank is also hiding the two vials he took from the Little Tiber after the gorgons disappeared. They hold gorgon blood. One contains healing blood from the right side of a gorgon body, and one contains poisoned blood from the left side. He does not know what he will do with it but plans to hide it until he does. Percy and a house ghost are the only ones who know about the vials. Frank’s mother was a soldier in Afghanistan when she died saving her fellow soldiers. On the day of the funeral, Frank’s grandmother told him about the piece of firewood and Juno’s visit informing them of it. She also tells him he has a long family history among the gods, both Roman and Greek. After dinner, Frank, Hazel, and Percy head to get ready for the war games. Frank and Hazel explain some things about their armor and weapons for the war games. Frank is astonished to find that Percy put his armor on perfectly and asks him if he has done it before. Percy replied no and they went on with the war games. It was the 1st and 2nd Cohorts defending their banners and the 3rd, 4th, and the 5th Cohorts had to protect their banners and steal the other teams. Whichever team got the banners was the team who got praised. Hazel, Frank, and Percy head into a secret tunnel before they got spot coming out of it. He then sees a camp like Camp Jupiter where a giant waits for Percy to arrive for a battle. On the way to the senate meeting, Percy meets Terminus, a god that appears as a stone statue that guards the city of New Rome. Percy is surprised by the families living in New Rome, and it gives him hope for his future in a way he cannot explain. At the senate meeting, there is debate over whether Frank should lead the quest as Mars requested. Frank is rewarded for the victory at the war games and is promoted to centurion so that he can lead the quest. Octavian questions Frank, making it clear he does not believe Frank is capable of a successful quest even with his chosen companions, Hazel and Percy. During the questioning, Hazel and Percy reveal that they believe they are to go to Alaska and that the name of the giant they will face is Alcyoneus. The camp praetor, Reyna wants to speak to Percy in private for reasons he does not know of. Reyna leads Percy into a room that seems like her office. Reyna talks to Percy about how this camp is in grave danger and for the camp's safety moving forward. Reyna wants to make an order to elect Percy as the camp's praetor in place for Octavian. Then they talk a little about the quest and how Percy could fill in the position of their missing star/elite fighter Jason Grace. Reyna knows that the gods have done that on purpose. After they talk about that, Reyna encourages Percy to think about her offer as praetor in place for Octavian. Then Percy, Frank, and Hazel pack their bags and set off to the navy dock to head to Alaska by water. Even though there was no engine or paddles, Percy can will the water to take them whatever way they want with speed. They have 4 days until they have to report back to Camp Jupiter. They have to return with success on time otherwise, the entire camp will be wiped out and the Giants, the Titans, and mother of all evil, Gaea will wake and probably end the world. If Percy, Frank, and Hazel don't succeed in this, the world and life as we know it is pretty much over.

Percy asks a whale to pull the boat so that he can sleep. When he sleeps, Percy sees a boy and a girl arguing over how long it is taking for a giant warship to be repaired. Percy also sees a cyclops and a dog making their way west. Then the dream shifts, and he hears Gaea, then Alcyoneus mocking him. When Percy wakes, he discovers they have made it to Portland. He tells Frank and Hazel about his dreams, including the clue he noticed from Alcyoneus: he is camped on a glacier. Percy, Frank, and Hazel find downtown Portland deserted because of freezing rain. They find Phineas among a group of food trucks, fending off starving harpies with a weed whacker. Phineas is blind, lashing out at the harpies by sound and mostly missing them. After they talk with each other, Percy and Phineas exchange a deal. The deal was that each one of them took a vial of gorgons blood and they would drink it. One is poisonous and one is not. Percy got the one that is not and now Percy, Frank, and Hazel know where to go to free Thantos. Hazel is overwhelmed with guilt as they reboard the boat and head to Seattle. She decides to tell Percy and Frank the truth about her past in response to Phineas accusing her of putting the entire war into action because she helped Gaea raise Alcyoneus in 1941. Both Frank and Percy tell Hazel she wasn’t to blame and that she was brave for taking on Gaea on her own. However, she still feels guilty, so when she starts to fall into another of her blackouts, she holds on to Frank’s hand and takes him with her. Hazel is in “Charon’s boat, crossing the Styx” (page 300). Hazel is taken in front of the three judges, and they sentence her to Elysium because of her bravery against Gaea. However, when she learns her mother is being punished for her actions, she insists on being punished as well. Hazel is sent to the Fields of Asphodel where she will drift aimlessly, lost and confused, for all of eternity. At first, she searches for her mother, but cannot find her. Finally, she sits under a tree to wait out eternity. As she and Frank sit, Frank tells her about the firewood and asks her to keep it for him. Hazel reminds Frank that whatever she touches could be cursed, but Frank insists. In a dream, Frank heard a line that was read by someone he did not know and it said that he would die holding this piece of firewood while he watches it burn.

However, when they have almost reached the property, they stumble on a camp of Laistrygonians, or ogres. Percy, whose memory is beginning to return because of the gorgon blood, recalls fighting them once before but it required Celestial bronze, which they don’t have. Frank decides to use the second charge on his spear. When the skeleton appears, Frank orders it to attack the ogres and “lead them off to the west” (page 350). The skeleton, which Percy says is a spartan, silently kills all six ogres. However, Frank is worried that Hazel will think differently of him now that she has seen what the spear can do. Frank is worried by the state of his grandmother’s house. Dishes are undone and the living room is cluttered, things his grandmother would never have allowed before. The friends make their way upstairs and find Frank’s grandmother in her bedroom with Mars. Frank's friends head to the attic where a humongous stash of all kinds of weapons are stored. Frank gets a chance to talk with his dad, Mars/Ares. Mars tells Frank about his ancestors and his family gift. Frank could not figure out the family gift but he thinks he knows. Frank then gets a good nights sleep on a real bed and Hazel makes him breakfast and puts out clothes for him to wear. Frank is astonished that Hazel did all this for him and that she does not hate him for what his spear can do. Percy sets off a distraction and they zoom past the Laistrygonians and into the airport launching pad. Percy shows the pilot some letters and something on his necklace from camp and the pilot immediately understands that they need to go now and fast. A couple minutes in, the pilot asks Percy where they want to go and Percy responds Alaska.

Hazel worries that people at Camp Jupiter, specifically Octavian, would not like to know a Greek camp exists. The “Greeks and Romans have a long history of bad blood” (page 389), and it is unlikely they will work freely with one another. This is the reason Percy believes Juno sent him to Camp Jupiter. She wanted him to smooth the way for a truce. Percy takes a nap so he can reach out to his friends. He finds Tyson, his brother who is a cyclops, in the woods near Frank’s family home with Percy’s hellhound, Mrs. O’Leary. He tells Tyson he is safe and asks him to care for Ella. He then instructs Tyson to go to Camp Jupiter to help in the impending battle. Before he can tell him anymore, his dream is interrupted by images of Polybotes preparing for battle. Percy wakes up in Alaska and Hazel jumps into the muskeg behind Percy, holding on to Frank’s bow as she does. She immediately slips into memory as she searches for Percy, recalling a happy moment she shared with her mother, Queen Marie. Gaea tells her she can remain in this memory forever if she will just give up. Hazel refuses. Hazel finds Percy and pulls on the bow. Frank pulls them both from the muskeg. Hazel tells them about Gaea, what she showed her, leaving out how Gaea said Hazel should have married Sammy, and how Gaea told her that she’d captured Nico. Percy promises they will find Nico, but first they need to clean up and find Alcyoneus.
Hazel takes her friends to the house she and her mother once rented that was now used as storage. Inside she discovers pictures that she once hung on the wall are still there. She shows her friends a picture of Sammy and a photo of her mother. Frank goes into town for clean clothes. They clean up and go into town for lunch. The journey to Hubbard Glacier is treacherous, and they likely won’t make it on time. As they eat, a gryphon arrives. They defeat the gryphon and head to the Hubbord glacier on Arion's back. They arrive and it looks like Camp Jupiter but 3 times as big. They see Thanatos and realize it is a trap, but with time ticking and no other way, they go to free Thanatos and await an army of monsters before them.

Frank realizes there are some things worth dying for, a lesson he should have learned when his mother died, but he didn’t. Now he decides he must sacrifice himself to help his friends and keep Gaea from winning. He asks Hazel for his firewood. Alcyoneus confronts Hazel, telling her, Frank, and Percy that the Titans thought they could come to America and crush the gods in their new home, but Alcyoneus’s brother, Porphyrion, is preparing to attack the gods on their home turf in Greece. Hazel takes control and orders Percy to protect Frank while she takes on Alcyoneus. Frank lights his firewood and begins melting the chains holding Thanatos. As Frank waits for all the chains to break, he thinks of everything he’s been through these last few days and everything his grandmother told him. He thinks he has a good idea now what his family gift is. When Thanatos is free, there is only a small nub of the firewood left. Frank carefully puts it away and turns to help Percy who is growing tired from fighting the legion, but Percy directs him to help Hazel who is becoming overwhelmed in her fight against Alcyoneus. Frank goes in to help Hazel and he turns into an eagle to see what is happening. While everybody is stunned and shocked, Frank turns into a bear and rams into Alcyoneus. Percy uses the last of his powers and he sends all of the enemy army into the sea....... including himself. Frank and Hazel defeat Alcyoneus and Arion pulls them in a wagon and they unexpectedly find Percy with the legions Golden eagle!!!!!!! Arion takes them at the speed of sound to camp and they pick up some great materials from fallen fighters. In the journey to Camp Jupiter, Percy’s memory returns in full. With the return of his memory, Percy understands that the real war will “happen far away, in the homeland of the gods” (page 473). To stop Gaea, all the demigods—both Greek and Roman—will have to work with the gods to stop her. Percy, Frank, and Hazel arrive at Camp Jupiter to find the battle already underway. Arion is too tired to take the gold weapons to the battlefield, but Tyson and Mrs. O’Leary are there with Ella. Percy instructs Tyson to put on Roman attire so the others will know he is on their side, tells Ella to hide, and hooks Mrs. O’Leary up to the chariot so that she can drag it to the legion. Percy takes the Imperial gold weapons to the Fifth Cohort and joins the fight. The Fifth Cohort, with Hazel and Frank, takes on a group of centaurs. Percy sees the First and Second Cohorts struggling with Polybotes. Percy leads the Fifth Cohort to their aid. Percy lifts the eagle and cries, “Twelfth Legion Fulminata!” (page 482). Lightning flashes from the eagle and destroys the enemy’s centerline. Percy sends the Fifth Cohort to help the Fourth, and he takes on the giant Polybotes himself.

Also accompanying the group is its satyr chaperone, Coach Gleeson Hedge, who is overenthusiastic and prone to aggression. Feeling a shiver, Annabeth thinks she hears someone laughing, but no one is there (page 10). As the Roman camp comes into view, Annabeth sees evidence of a recent battle against monsters. Armed demigods emerge from the gates. Annabeth hopes to see her boyfriend Percy among them but instead hears an explosion. A statue, Terminus, the god of boundaries who protects New Rome, has appeared on the ship to order them not to bring weapons into the city. Piper tries to charmspeak him, but he is immune. When Annabeth interrupts to mediate, Terminus condescendingly refers to Athena as “Minerva’s Greek form” (page 13). They land and greet the Romans, but then Leo suddenly starts shooting bombs at the Roman camp and he believes a feeling took over him. Leo cannot remember exactly what happened. He recalls watching himself but not being able to control his actions. He recalls feeling cold. Arion and Hazel are following the ship, and Jason is injured and resting.
