(Unit 6) When I was having stomach aches every time I ate, I was grateful for access to my primary care provider or my pediatrician. She did what she could and recommended getting rid of lactose in my diet. She also recommended Lact-aid which was something I could take before eating lactose so that I could eat pizza and ice cream.

"Health insurance coverage helps patients get into the health care system." (Unit 6 page 6) I was able to go to my pediatrician because my mom got health insurance from her work, Ohiohealth. Once my stomach aches escalated to every time I ate even if it didn't consume lactose we went to Dr. Aukerman. I was positively effected by my health care because I have not had a bad stomach ache like the ones I got when I ate gluten since I was 10. I am now 16.
