In March 2024, my wife and I arrived in Dublin for a totally different life. We made new friends, got to know new cultures and made new discoveries about our lives.

May 11th was my birthday and we went to Wicklow beach with our new friends, and that's amazing because it's a totally different celebration for me, without my family, my old friends, my country or typical foods or Brazilian barbecue (I love that).

We celebrated my birthday with people I'd never seen before arriving here, and today we're good friends, we know people from different states in Brazil, different customs.

Today is December 17th and I still have some of those people as my close friends

I see myself working for a big company teaching children, in a big house with my husband, cat , maybe a dog for my cat.

Hello my name is Juliana. In March of 2024 I arrived in Ireland to study English with my husband in this wonderful country, where I met a lot of friends.

Every day I learn more about culture and English, every day I discover more strength that I didn't even know I have, even though I miss my family, my cat and my friends in my country. In this place I met friendly people even though I do not speak much English, they do not judge me and try to understand me.

I think my best experience in Dublin was when I visited lake glendalough, because it is a beautiful place, my first experience of touring in a team of a different nationality with a guide. I met a beautiful place for example where the film PS I love you was recorded.

I am happy to come to Ireland.

Living in Europe has many challenges, and in addition to living with strangers, the language has been a difficulty, but it allows me to learn a new language. Along with the challenges there are incentives, living in Europe allows me to travel to different countries, on one trip I visited Disney in Paris, a fantastic place that made me smile a lot.

I will certainly have experiences like this at other times, and I am even planning other countries where I will live.

I've met incredible places and people I'll carry with me for life.

I always lived in Brazil so it had been my dream to see snow.

It was very cold in the morning but no chance of seeing snow.

"When life gives you lemonade, make lemons. Life will be like ¨whaaat?!¨¨

-MODER FAMILY

In 20 years, I will have a really happy with a big part of my goals achieved. :D

Hello! My name is Andrea, I have been here in Ireland with my cousin and his friend for 2 months, and in that time, I can experience news and beautiful thing. To be honest sometimes I can't believe this is real and is happening to me. Of course I am very grateful to my family and I don't think I can finish thanking them for the experiences I will have forever in my memory and treasure them.

Now it is true I don't visit too much outside of Dublin yet, one time we had the opportunity to go with my aunt and a friend's dad on a tour, we got together at one point and then we started a tour that they organized. The first place was in a castle, we had a little break to snack and then a person who works there gave us a tour in the different rooms. Then after the castle, we visited Cliffs of Moher and went to a little pub that was on the way back to Dublin.

The views of each one of the places we met were really awesome, that combined with the pure air and the sound was really pacific and if I put myself poetic, I will say magic. Adding the food was good. I really enjoyed the days when they were in Ireland, I was (I continue) missing people from my family and my aunt came here giving us hugs, kisses and words that my family in Mexico sent to us. Another part I enjoyed was they gave us the opportunity to discover new places and be able to access things that had not been in our possibilities. I am really grateful with them too.

I think this trip to Ireland is a really big combo made of each of the experiences. And I am happy because it's not over yet and I want to continue getting new experiences here as long I can. <3

Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary."

In 20 years, I will look back and be grateful for having had the courage to throw myself into the world alone—being intense and seizing every opportunity that came my way and that I wanted to pursue. I’ll be thankful for becoming, and continuously striving to be, the best version of myself. I’ll be proud of having faced my fears of meeting new people, exploring different places, and trying new foods, all without staying in my comfort zone. I will be fulfilled for having realized all my dreams and desires in my youth, with the support of my parents.

Hello, my name is Fabiana, I am 28 years old, and I’ve been living in Dublin for 2 months.

My best experience in Dublin has been practicing solitude. Throughout my life, I’ve always had friends or family to go out with and share moments. However, being in a country with people from different cultures and languages has made me increasingly independent, both physically and emotionally.

Many people end up accepting toxic relationships because they are emotionally dependent on others, which is unhealthy. This dependency prevents us from doing things on our own and experiencing amazing moments, always waiting for someone else.

Solitude has also allowed me to be more open to new people and cultures—something that, perhaps, would be more difficult in my comfort zone due to "pre-established prejudices."
