It was just a little over a year, but during this short time while I was in your team, I am grateful for all the things (big and small) that you have done for our team and myself personally. Putting a heavy focus on team activities and wellbeing, it is thanks to you, I was able to bear the most challenging year in my life.

I'm a little sad to be honest, I was excited to have a manager who had a similar sense of humour and outlook on life. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Shane, I'm so gutted to see you leave. I have had many farewells throughout my career, but nothing hits me this HARD since a long time - that's what she said.

Not just a manager, for me you are my pal and also my biggest critique. I looked up to you and learnt a lot as a human being, and I wished this would never end. 

Thank you so so so much for being there when I needed you, be it for work, life lessons, or just trivial things. You were instrumental not only for my career at FB but also the future of my family. For all that you've done, we are forever grateful.

Good luck for your (new not so new) adventure at Amazon, and also your upcoming new life as a husband. We will cross path again, I'm sure. With me not in Ireland anymore, you know the drill!

It is very unfortunate that we didn’t have much opportunities to get together in person as a team due to Covid-19 restrictions. Best of luck with the new roles in the different team/company as well as a husband!!!! You’re a great person at the professional and personal levels and there is no doubt you will be very successful wherever you are!
