The reason why ESP is so doubted is because of it's uncertainty when it comes to providing solid evidence. Daryl Bem, a well-known researcher conducted 9 studies involving over 1000 students to prove ESP was in fact real. What he found in his results was that half of the students were able to guess the correct image without even looking at it. The flaw with this study is the sample size. Using 1000 students is small sample and it hadn't been proven whether or not Daryl had contact with any of the students prior to the experiment. For all we know, Daryl could have told them the answers. The Rhine experiment is now more commonly known as the 5 cards that are used by someone with ESP. The 5 cards are used a prime example of a trick that would prove to people that people can certainly have ESP. Upon personally doing the experiment, he did not get any answers right. He used Proof by Verbosity because he showed us what he wanted us to see. A mistake he made in here was disabling the comments. She is a Clairvoyant Consultant who claims she has ESP. She claims that she cannot explain certain things she sees. He shows us a card trick where he guess what the cards are. He states that his guess is based on "mentalism". This relates back to the Psychics part of the course, where they convince you that they can see into the future. However, it is almost always a hoax, or a trick.
