Flavius and Marullus along with the Cobbler have a short conversation about the most recent triumph of Caesars' Rome, the death of Pompey who was at this point an enemy of Caesar and how all the people are reunited and shouting such victory.

Scene 2

Calpurnia, Caesar and Antony appear on the scene, where a certain superstition from caesar is revealed, he is not able to have babies with Calumnia, so he asks her to touch Antony so that this dosent happen anymore, the Soothsayer appears later on warning Caesar "beware the ides of march", which we can assume is, when Caesar will die, but Caesar dismisses the Soothsayers' warnings, later on, Cassius and Brutus are left alone talking, where we see that they are planning something, since their discussions are not favoring caesar, Cassius wants to take Caesar out of power since he is too powerful and therefore, bad for the Roman Republics' order.

Scene 3

The group of conspirators against Caesar is formed officially, Brutus, Cassius, Cinna, Casca, Decius, Trebonious, Metellus Cimber. They make plans for the assassination, and Portia asks Brutus if he is okay.

Scene 2
Decius in his ingenious matter convinces Caesar to come with him, because he is going to be crowned today in a big ceremony, Caesar initially refuses, but goes in the end because Decius explains to him that he will get laughed upon if he says that Caesar won't go because of a bad dream from his wife.

Scene 3
Artemidorous reads a letter that had to be read by Caesar, to be aware and distant from the group of conspirators, saying In the end to himself, that if Caesar reads this, he will live, if not, he will die.

Scene 4

The soothsayer talks to portia if Caesar had finally gone to the capitol, he is informed that he did go, soothsayer leaves to try and see Caesar before he goes into the capitol.

Julius Caesar arrives to the Capitol and is warned one last time by the Soothsayer, about the ides of March, but once again, Caesar ignores him. Entering the Capitol Caesar is left alone, helpless he is stabbed by Casca, and lastly by Brutus, he dies assassinated.

a. Act I, Scenes 1. 


Marullus: "You blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things! O you hard hearts, you cruel men of Rome!"


It is the feast of Lupercal. Flavius and Marullus, both tribunes of the senate, complain that workers have taken a holiday to see Caesar's triumphant return. Why senseless? They were the same people who celebrated Pompey's victories in the past. This proves that Romans are not capable of judging well its leaders. That in the end is dangerous for any society, including our Honduran society. 


b. Set honour in one eye and death i’ th’ other, And I will look on both indifferently; For let the gods so speed me as I love


The name of honour more than I fear death.


c. Men at some time are masters of their fates. The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings.

Men at a point in their lives are able to decide their future based on decisions they make, but we think fate is always over our decisions, making them less worthy or less important.

d. Let me have men about me that are fat, Sleek-headed men, and such as sleep a-nights.


Let me have men that are satisfied with their power, men that are not hungry for power that could betray Ceasar.


e. I rather tell thee what is to be feared Than what I fear; for always I am Caesar.


I rather tell you the danger, that tell you why or if I am afraid, since I am Ceasar (referring to him being powerful and arrogance all over this quote)

f. I know where I will wear this dagger then;

Cassius is delivering a subtle reference of what he or they shall do to Ceasar, to kill him.

g. Cassius from bondage will deliver Cassius.


 


ACT II

a. Let’s kill him boldly, but not wrathfully;
Let’s carve him as a dish fit for the gods,

Let's kill Ceasar without rage, since this should be seen as a necessary sacrifice, not a massacre.


b. We shall be called purgers, not murderers.

We should be called conspirators and heroes, not dishonorable murderers.

c. When beggars die there are no comets seen;
The heavens themselves blaze forth the death of princes.

Caesar should worry more about his life because he is not a beggar or a nobody, he is the most powerful man in the world.

d. Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never tastes death but once.

Cowards live without any glory, scared and hidden by fear, but brave men only die when their true time comes.


ACT III

a. But I am constant as the Northern Star, 60 Of whose true-fixed and resting quality
There is no fellow in the firmament.

But I am very constant and invincible, so I am not someone who worries about any other person.


b. O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth,
That I am meek and gentle with these butchers!

Ceasar and earth, I am sorry for having to collaborate with these assassins.
