I usually use Instagram on my phone to post photos/videos, view and like other people's feed and photos, direct message other accounts and view Stories. 

I find it to be a source of entertainment as I can see what my friends are up to these days, as well as view the personal photos of celebrities and videos that interest me. I like posting my own photos as it acts like a platform to share with my friends about my life and it also acts like a sketchbook for myself as I can store all my memories as photos/videos in this platform. 

I like this app as compared to other competitors, such as Snapchat, as Instagram reaches out to more people such as friends and celebrities. It is also easier to find accounts/photos/videos that you are interested in on Instagram while Snapchat only has limited news/videos that might only interest me for a short period of time. Photos are also stored in Instagram whereas Snapchat only provides a 24 hour time period of viewing the photo/video/texts sent by your friends.
