My assignment is to work as creative writers with "creative text" generated by AI, reflecting on the process, and developing personal/collective guardrails for ethical use.

Whenever students use these tools to help craft outcomes, they will always draft their own work in parallel, then complete a brief reflection on: 1) the differences between their work and the AI, 2) why those differences may exist (including specific prompts about bias in research/algorithms), and 3) how it helped them shape their final product.   

In Digital Video and Moving Image, I will ask students to use the new voice to text video editing feature in Adobe Premiere Pro that uses AI to generate captions. This course could get very technical, but we usually take a conceptual approach.

Students will use AI to explain a theoretical concept at very levels. For example, “explain what a basis set is in quantum chemistry.” During a discussion they will teach their peers.
