         <description><![CDATA[<div>For their <strong>culminating project</strong> to their study of weather<strong>, </strong>students worked in small groups to investigate further: the water cycle, local weather, regional weather, blizzards, or flooding. Groups used <strong>Explain Everything</strong> to produce an original weather forecast or interview to share the content they learned. Students also created a weather bulletin in <strong>Google docs</strong> and shared with their future science teacher.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students began a Discovery of Self project in September. It began with a self-examination of high and low points in their lives. They examined their first ancestors, descendants of the Arawak tribes is central and South America. Then connected their journey to art with the self-portraits quilt.  After creating a definition of culture, students wrote about how their culture influenced who they are. </div>]]></description>
