      i can infer that singapore may have traded with many countries like the indians and chinese for spices in the 18th century

evidence :  Countries in the southeast asia traded spices to flavour food, as medicine, religious offerings, in magic potions and even as air refresheners 
    Thus, this shows that singapore had an economic connection with countires like the ancient egyptions, romans, indians, greeks and chinese.

why i chose this source:
spice trade was important for economic development as it was well knwon in the southeast asia.

Evidence:
In the account, it is stated that the east Javanese kingdom of reign attacked Temesak. The reign of Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira, the present ruler of Temasek was passed down to his son which means Temesak was not defeated by Javanese kingdom and able protect itself from the attack so I can conclude that the military system in Singapore was doing well during the 14th century. 

Why I chose this source:
It is interesting to know how to military was before 1819 and I have learnt that the military plays an important role in every country,eg.ensuring the country's safety and well being.If not to them,Singapore wouldn't be what it is now.

EVIDENCE:
Chinese use spices to flavour food,as medicine, religious offerings in magic potions and even air - fresheners. Pepper was used once as currency and a mixture of spices were used in embalming rituals, both to preserve the body as well as to make it smell more pleasant. The ancient Indian system of health care has incorporated many herbs and spices in their health concoctions

I choose this source because it is interesting and I learn that different race use herb and spices to do different thing.I can use the spices in our daily life as well.
