The first series of patients was reported by Krynauw in 1950, who described 12 children with infantile hemiplegia who underwent anatomic hemispherectomies for epilepsy and/or “mental changes”. In this series, all surviving patients with epilepsy demonstrated seizure freedom.</div>]]></description>
