Faye Yuan Kleeman, the author of <em>Under an Imperial Sun: Japanese Colonial Literature of Taiwan and the South</em> wrote that it was the most successful such school in Southeast Asia.During the occupation, the Japanese h ad also opened the Shonan First People's School.'<br><br>The Japanese open a school to teach the teenagers about their culture and their langue to educate so that the people would listen to them  and follow their rules.<br><br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
