The characters in Anthem are very believable through their actions and life styles. Through the book, it displays how the people are probably thinking specific things that are out of line for the society, but are too afraid to say anything, or do anything. Equality is different in that way as he goes into the tunnel and does his experiments. From how Equality acts, he shows him self as a very believable character in his situation. Although most of the characters only do what they are told, and have grown up with, there are a few people who have the courage to just be different, making the characters even more believable. Although these characters are believable, I personally can not relate to any of them, as I have not, and hopefully will not have to live through a society like that, making me not able to think like any of the characters have to.

Yes I think the characters in Anthem are believable. Some of the characters want to be different and change the way they are. They all don't have a choice to be different then others, they are forced to be the same as everybody else. I can relate because everyone expects you to be what have come before you, but you want a different path and that path is different then the one that others expect you to take.

Equality 7-2521 is 6ft tall and is beautiful and almost perfect. He is intelligent and gets blamed for something that he can't control. The people in the Anthem society have been controlled their whole lives. Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-3000, are changing. They have fallen in love and are afraid to express themselves. These characters are very believable.

I think the characters in Anthem are pretty believable, and I can relate to Equality in the sense that I question everything. The characters are believable, because if a government begins to act all tyrannical most normal everyday citizens would just let them have control and not try to fight because they don't want to die. So it makes sense that there aren't very many people that are willing to stand up to the government. Also the people that do stand up to them will probably be put down very fast so they don't become a martyr or something, so the people that might have sparked these ideas get put down with a message. So the characters in Anthem are believable because they act pretty much exactly how people react to their government becoming tyrannical, subjecting.
