This proverb is a metaphor for many people to come together. When many people come together, they are virtually unbreakable because they are all fighting for the same cause. An example of this is the Civil Rights Movement. In the 1950’s and the 1960’s, African Americans were furious with the way they were treated. They formed a big group and they fighted for their rights. This is an example of this proverb. This shows that a big group of people are hard to break apart, meaning that a cause for anything will never die when a big group of people support the cause. The problem with a few people is that the people could be threatened to stop arguing about a cause. In a big group, a few people will leave but the group will come together and protect themselves because they have others that fight for the same cause. This is why this proverb is so important.
