Lab tests may be carried out to diagnose Crohn's, most specifically through blood tests including:</div><ul><li>Antibody Tests - Help doctors distinguish whether you have Crohn's or ulcerative colitis. </li><li>Complete Blood Count - Checks for anemia and infection </li><li>C-reactive Protein - Looks for this protein which is a signal of inflammation</li><li>Electrolyte Panel - Body may have a low potassium count if you have a Crohn's-releated diarrhea</li><li>Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate</li><li>Iron and B12 Levels</li><li>Liver Function</li></ul>]]></description>

Bowel rest includes drinking only certain liquids or not eating or drinking anything<br><br>Surgery to treat:</div><ul><li>Fistulas</li><li>Bleeding that is life threatening</li><li>Intestinal obstructions</li><li>Side effects from medicines when they threaten your health</li><li>Symptoms when medicines do not improve your conditions</li></ul><div><br>Surgerys include:</div><ul><li>Small bowel resection</li><li>Subtotal colectomy</li><li>Proctocolectomy and ileostomy</li></ul>]]></description>
