         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Copyright Exceptions and Limitations: Public Domain-</em>works for which the copyright terms have expired , ideas, facts and government works. <br><em>First Sale Doctrine: </em>allows libraries to lend books and other material that it has purchased. <br><em>Fair Use</em>: allows for the use of copyrighted materials without permission under certain circumstances, including those of research and nonprofit education. <br><em>Section 108 Exceptions: </em><br>allows libraries to make reproductions of copyrighted work for the purpose of preservation, not to be displayed. <br><em>Orphan work:</em> copyrighted work, but holder can't be found. <br><em>Open Access:</em> <br>Allows for the free access of published material through openly accessible digital repositories. <br><em>Creative Commons: </em>nonprofit organization that provides a set of copyright licenses and tools allowing creators and copyright holders to incrementally waive their own rights to works they have created. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>
