I just started taking classes this month at Rio Salado. I started substitute teaching for my local school district several months ago, and it was then that I decided I wanted to become a licensed teacher in Arizona. I think that having strong classroom and behavior management skills is the the single greatest factor for success in teaching today's students in today's classrooms. Without strong skills in this area, even the brightest and hardest working teacher will not be effective in educating her students.  I have already read the first two chapters in the required reading, and I am trying to soak up as much information as I can from it.
