I think she most likely sees herself the same when they said her real name in the text it was very surprising. But i don't think the nickname "wheeze" made her identity different i think it made her identity better. So no i don't see her identity being changed because of her nickname.

She most certainly views herself the same way, in my opinion. It was shocking when they revealed her real name in the text. But rather than altering who she was, I believe that the moniker "wheeze" enhanced it. So, no, I don't think her nickname has anything to do with who she really is.

I think they called him wheeze because they were supposed to be spies and have code names.

Sara Louise/Wheeze in my opinion she see herself as a bad person because she wanted at one point and dreamed of killing her mom and sister. The main idea of these chapters are about a sails man that left the island 50 or more years ago. And Wheeze and her friend Call are trying to find out if this man is a counterspy from the navy or a Hirman Wallace, a person who left the island because he was made fun of.

At Auntie Braxton's house, Louise finds the old woman lying on her floor, covered in cats.
the Captain comforts Auntie Braxton by telling her that he's Hiram and he's going to take care of her. Oh, there's definitely a story there.

The Captain decides that while Auntie Braxton is recovering at the hospital, the three of them should clean out her house so that the dreaded churchwomen won’t get their hands on her belongings. Auntie Braxton is not a churchgoing woman, so Louise knows the Captain is right when he suggests she wouldn’t want the pious, judgmental women snooping around in her home. The Captain explains that when he lived on the island growing up, Auntie Braxton’s father had been quite wealthy. He knows that Auntie Braxton’s father must have left her all his money, and that, just like her father, Auntie Braxton probably refused to spend it. He imagines that the cash is hidden somewhere in the house, which is another reason why strangers shouldn’t be snooping around. Intrigued, Louise agrees to the cleanup project.

the changes I saw in their relationship were that Louise thought that her parents didn't want her to leave or do something with her life and that it all had to be about her sister but when her mom and her were arguing. Louise was saying let me leave her mom said "Of course you may leave. You never said before you wanted to leave" which made her realize that she was the only one holding herself down all this time. I believe that the conversion shifted into relationships when Grandma started talking about when she was young.
